Walking Quietly

Friday of Holy Week is a day where silence and recollection takes over our entire environment, the city seems to be paralyzed, while a spirit of prayer and faith runs through every street, in these times where religious beliefs have diversified and where technology takes us away from the spiritual facts, we must always stick to our roots, so we can find the tranquility and hope that we need so much, to move forward towards a future full of joy, progress and serenity.

Caminando Tranquilamente

El viernes de Semana Santa es un día en donde el silencio y el recogimiento se apodera de todo nuestro ambiente, la ciudad pareciera paralizarse, mientras un espíritu de oración y fe recorre cada calle, en estos tiempos en donde se han diversificado las creencias religiosas en donde la tecnología nos aparta de los hechos espirituales debemos siempre apegarnos a nuestras raíces, para esta forma poder encontrar la tranquilidad y la esperanza que tanto necesitamos, para poder seguir avanzando hacia un futuro lleno de alegría, progreso y serenidad.

At this moment my community is in silence, while the afternoon, with a bright sun and clear skies, begins to give way to a deep night, where the moon will wane until dawn. But it is precisely in the midst of this transitional environment, when I like to go out and walk, to enjoy a moment of freshness and tranquility, where you can observe the grandeur of the city from the heights and at the same time we can discover the beautiful colors that adorn large buildings whose shapes remind us of the typical architecture of the 50s, where the high density blocks began to rise on the skyline of Caracas, marking a before and after in the urban profile of the entire capital.

En estos momentos mi comunidad se encuentra en silencio, mientras que la tarde, con un sol brillante y cielos despejados, comienza a darle paso a una noche profunda, en donde la luna menguará hasta el amanecer. Pero es justamente en medio de este ambiente de transición, cuando me gusta salir y caminar, para disfrutar de un momento de frescura y tranquilidad, en donde se puede observar la grandeza de la ciudad desde las alturas y al mismo tiempo podemos descubrir los lindos colores que engalanan a grandes edificios cuyas formas nos recuerdan a la arquitectura típica de los años 50, en donde los bloques de alta densidad comenzaron a elevarse en el horizonte caraqueño, marcando un antes y un después en el perfil urbano de toda la capital.

This is a boulevard with panoramic views, from where we can enjoy an amplified vision of the entire city, where the mountain is the protagonist, but where we can also discover a concrete and asphalt jungle that winds through a steep valley, giving us different shades and incredible contrasts, where nature is always present, to remind us that at the end of the day the magic of creation always prevails over all things. Thus culminates a happy and quiet afternoon, where I could walk without any pressure, my environment and very happy because the destination has given me a really perfect day, full of color, lots of brightness and great scenery.

Este es un bulevar con vistas panorámicas, desde donde podemos disfrutar una visión amplificada de toda la ciudad, en donde la montaña es la protagonista, pero en donde también podemos descubrir una selva de concreto y asfalto que va a serpenteando por un valle escarpado, regalándonos diversos matices y contrastes increíbles, en donde la naturaleza siempre está presente, para recordarnos que al final del día la magia de la creación siempre se impone sobre todas las cosas. De esta forma culmina una tarde feliz y tranquila, en donde pude caminar sin presión alguna, mi entorno y muy contento porque el destino me ha regalado un día realmente perfecto, lleno de color, mucho brillo y grandes paisajes.
