Walking in the Rain

Despite the heavy rains that fell today on the city of Caracas, I had to go out and face all my scheduled commitments with courage and determination. However, as you all know, in most cases I walk almost everywhere, so my journey was not as smooth as I would have liked. I had to make several stops to wait out the rain and take different routes that would allow me to reach my destination without getting completely soaked.

Caminando Bajo la Lluvia

A pesar de las fuertes lluvias caídas el día de hoy sobre la ciudad de Caracas, me tocó salir y afrontar con carácter y determinación todos los compromisos que tenía pautados, pero como todos ustedes saben en la mayoría de los casos yo me desplazo a pie a casi todos lados, por lo tanto, no tuve un recorrido tan fluido como me hubiera gustado, tuve que hacer diferentes paradas para escampar y tomar diversos caminos que me permitieran llegar a mi destino sin quedar totalmente emparamado.

But I must admit that days like today are extremely appealing to me, and despite the negative health consequences of getting wet in the rain, I enjoy this experience, which makes me feel full of life and joy. In addition, the wet city becomes a little more interesting, as its streets shine like a mirror and its climate becomes cold and wintry, where time seems to pass more slowly, perhaps with a more nostalgic hour, which immerses us in a world full of mysteries and singularities.

Pero debo admitir que los días como el de hoy me resultan tremendamente atractivos y, a pesar de las consecuencias negativas para la salud que pueda acarrear mojarse bajo la lluvia, disfruto de esta experiencia que me hace sentir lleno de vida y con mucha alegría. Además, la ciudad mojada se vuelve un tanto más interesante, puesto que sus calles brillan como un espejo y su clima se torna frío e invernal, en donde el tiempo pareciera transcurrir de forma más lenta, tal vez con una hora más nostálgica, la cual nos sumerge en un mundo lleno de misterios y singularidades.

Walking without fear of the natural elements allows me to feel strong, but at the same time fills me with good energy and a lot of enthusiasm, which I channel positively into creating content where photography is usually the protagonist. That is why, regardless of the activities I am doing during the day, I will always have my camera ready to capture those images of a city that presents itself as a space full of contrasts, where we find a society with unique characteristics, perhaps with various problems, but in general terms with a lot of empathy and great determination.

Caminar sin temor a los elementos naturales me permite sentirme fuerte, pero al mismo tiempo me llena de buenas energías y mucho ánimo, el cual canalizo de forma positiva en la creación de contenidos en donde la fotografía suele ser la protagonista, es por esta razón que sin importar las actividades que esté realizando durante el día siempre tendré mi cámara preparada, para capturar esas imágenes de una ciudad que se presenta como un espacio lleno de contrastes, en donde encontramos una sociedad de características únicas, tal vez con diversos problemas, pero en términos generales con mucha empatía y gran determinación.
