Beyond the Board: Winning the Unseen Battles- effort Meets Strategy

A journey for being in the list and to be the one of them, even though I can't take the first place but I tried. It's a big matter and pride to achieve the things that I really want at the first place. It's not just about participating but it's about the skills that I've been trying to improve and continuing the passion I've made since then.

The battle of all players who want to take an honor and pride to their department. A day where me and my colleagues went here at the library where the chess contest was held. I thought the players in chess was not that too much cause we saw the list last week it's just 3 boys and 5 girls. But I can't blame if they want to impress their skills to this kind of sports.

When the game begin, I already feld nervous and excited at the same time. My opponent are the only player who already represent the CTU Tabogon last year in chess and she got the 5th place to that competition. That's why I already told to my self that even if I got lose the game it was for points. But when our game started I didn't expect that I will defeat her, like I was too shock to process what happened. Her time was still 5 minutes and my time are already in seconds. Before my time end, I defeat her first and I didn't expect that. My second game are the same, I got comfortable to my second opponent due to she's not that good in planning and she lose already. It's a friendly game of course and since my third opponent didn't finish her current match yet , so my opponent requested that I will teach her how to take note the move we made .

And after that my third opponent arrived, this time I already got distracted due to I didn't have enough break to my last match and the disadvantaged is my opponent was too noisy and I can't focus, that's why at my third match I lose, but that's ok I still have my last match and this time my opponent is my teammate. Were both erudite but we need to take our match to know who's the winner in individual, and as expected I lose.

On the same day of our competition it's also the day they will announce the winners of every sports. I got the second place in chess female category and were champion in team category.

I was so proud at this time cauI didn't expect we win the champion and guess what it's me and my teammate also the one who got the first and the second place.

Expect the unexpected but I didn't expect the results. My plan was to have a points to my major subject and that's all, but the destiny had its own plan. I didn't participate for nothing but I participate for the sake of my departments pride. To have the experience, and to make that skills improve at the same time. And I hope for those who's pursuing in sports, keep it up and don't let your emotion and fear win.
