glass hearting 'til 9 : October 9 2025

look at that scene! very poetic. this is our genius musician and our heroine drummer in one of the episodes. our genius musician has always been like this, filled with musical pieces floating up in his head and he writes it down anywhere possible. good if he had a pen and paper with him, but if left with nothing we writes it on walls, musical graffiti only understood by those who can read music.

well let me proceed with the episodes. i will try to minimize spoilers or keep them as vague as possible, but yes this entry will have spoilers. consider this as your final warning!

we catch up on the scene where tenblank, our protagonist band, gets to do a battle with our loud punk band over a song. stakes were high, whoever wins the battle through audience votes will get to keep the song. and mind you, one song takes a lot of time to complete so all of those time will be put to waste if they lose.

it was here where we find out how these two bands got a similar song. and here is a spoiler,

our music genius and the punk rock vocalist were brothers! same father with different moms, they were raised in the same household when they were much younger. the punk rock vocalist's mom was a piano teacher; she got irritated how easily our music genius plays the piece she taught while her biological son (aka punk rock vocalist) continuously messes up. that piano piece was the heart of their contested song.

very unfortunately though, an "accident" happened on the day of the show. and after some heartfelt opening up, this forced the two bands to unite and performed together in one epic show stopper piece.

that show showed how these two bands were rivals but never enemies. but just wanted to perform and have their songs be heard out there in the world for people to hear and be inspired. they both know that they had powerful voices and music is a great way to influence people to be good, to be heard.

meet our keyboardist and guitarist, these two were also very essential to this series, not pushovers to the story. and both of them were also very talented at what they do, our musical genius even acknowledges our keyboardist as storage machine. yes that is right, musical genius plays a piece from his mind, keyboardist remembers and beautifies the piece. guitarist's story will be revealed later.

after that stressful dramatic battle, they finally had some easy time playing in a park. they were human after all, they all needed a break. not a long one, the musical genius announced that they will be having an arena tour.

i had to include this park scene because i have been there, located at the rooftop of a building in shibuya, miyashita park.

here we are in the middle of the arena tour, and clips of their shows were shown. i still wonder if these were actual shows, as said in my very first post about this series, they actually performed as a real life band. so i wonder if those were actual clips of their actual show as tenblank. it must be really cool to see them live.

i also had to include this photo of a walkway of wish plaques in kawagoe hikawa shrine. i have also been there once but i never knew that this shrine was famous for granting wishes. i also wonder if they kept their wish plaques hung in there, that would become a tourist attraction for sure.

now here is another major spoiler.

the tour was cancelled midway. this was one of the saddest portion of the series. our antagonist producer pulled some strings causing the cancellation of the rest of the concert stops. this was obviously for selfish reasons but her guised it in a compassionate way that it was all for the health of our musical genius.

what was equally saddening was that the musical genius had a tumor in his brain. performing in concerts would stress him some more causing the tumor to worsen and possibly killing him. this second picture above was his apology to the fans for the cancellation. tenblank is now faced with the decision whether to continue the band with the risk the genius dying, or to disband.

we then found out how the band idea even started. one day our guitarist spotted our music genius busking on the street and got amazed at how good it was that he immediately proposed that they form a band. the genius declined at that moment and their lives went on never crossing until years later when the musical genius reappeared. this time the tables have turned, he wanted to form a band and wanted our guitarist to be in it no matter what. the rest is history they say (i just wanted to keep the spoilers as short as possible). the music god has tied the string of fate around these members and pulled them closer together. and their life revolved around music, and music became their lives.

this was really a good series. and i could not wait to see more.

by the way, i finally found the coconut dessert i was looking for. and the new laptop finally came. waaaaaa!
