wet yet again : October 15 2025

wet wednesday everyone! it is another unlucky day not only because of the weather. but let me start with it, it was gloomy all day and i was so unsure weather to have a nightwalk or not. it was drizzling from morning to night.

and what more, this! it was not my machine, good thing. housemate js is also a coworker in the same company, and her machine experienced this. windows 11 had an update that day but her hp machine continuously failed to update. and the worse, our company connection app checks whether your operating system is updated or not. if not, no connection. so what does that mean? housemate js had no work that day because she could not connect to our company network.

it took the whole day. it got fixed after our technical team did some stuff and successfully updated around 8 pm. in was a very stressful time, the update stayed at 0% for a very long time, unmoving. then it rebooted. then showed another prompt still at 0%, then went straight up to around 50%, then rebooted. and success!

so much was at stake, no connection meant that she will have to physically go to the office. no one likes that anymore.

now that the update was completed, housemate js had the energy to go shopping. don quijote (that department store with a very catchy theme song) was the destination. she must have been so stressed, she stress shopped it seemed. skin care stuff, around 5 items, were bought in one go. our new housemate c also came with us and we perused every nook and cranny floor by floor. although it was but a 4 story building, took us over 3 hours to reach the cashier at the first floor. and the result? housemate js spent around 10 thousand yen (66 usd), housemate c spent around 6 thousand yen (39 usd). while i spent a measly 2 thousand yen (13 usd). yeah, i was consciously catching my hands whenever it took something in the basket.

with all that shopping, i only took 2 photos from that store. they had art displayed on the stairwell walls, these were two of my favorites.

anyways, that is it for my very short update.
