light crowded nightwalk : October 17 2025
let us start with something "nude". that hair salon surely captured my attention. but why did it name itself that though? nude! you do bare your head to the stylist. i guess that is why it was called nude. too much of a stretch right?
i reached ueno park and saw this crowd jointly doing something; exercising together or probably warming up together. this i really do not know, but they were doing stuff together. i thought that this was a jogging club, so i went on.
further, a baseball team was practicing. that field glowed very bright. japan has this obsession with baseball, i think someone made a video about that in youtube. i mean, every empty space is most likely a baseball field. this is a bit exaggerated of course.

i soon passed by this area with advertisements for the whole ueno park. as you may have known, there is a large conglomeration of museums and cultural stuff in ueno park. there were 13 i think, including an international children's library. here in this hallway, they featured all the ongoing exhibits in each of these museums and places of interest. here were some i am interested in.
the nature and science museum is gearing for an exhibit about the great mass extinctions. this museum has dinosaur fossils, whether true or replica i actually do not know. they also have a huge collection of prehistoric bones, and real dead stuffed animal displays.
tokyo metropolitan art museum has the works of van gogh on display. i knew about this painter from our english teacher in high school. his starry night is quite famous.
the tokyo university art museum featured kabuki. i have always wanted to check a live show, probably they have a show in there?
by the fountain, this group of people were dancing. they were good, i stayed and observed them for a while. i could not hear their music though, but i'm sure there must have been one. their steps seemed to be synchronized by a beat.
now here were the crowd of exercisers earlier. they were racing. and they had a teacher. and some people were lighting up their path using a phone. this was organized, that is what i am trying to say. and i am not that sure if these were kids, or young adults. anyway, i am happy for them.
it really was but a short walk. the weather was too perfect not to walk out in the open. i just preferred not to have a longer one just because i have some early activity the next day.
as always, AMPING KANUNAY!
