Hi Freinds,

When it comes to the legendary sport of Sumo Wrestling, one name stands out above all others – Konishiki! He was a true master of the sport, an undeniable star throughout his career. Not only was he a powerful force on the mat, but he also pushed the boundaries of what was possible in the sport. He was the first foreign-born sumo wrestler to reach the rank of yokozuna, the highest rank a sumo wrestler can achieve, and was the first non-Japanese wrestler to have been given the title. He changed the landscape of sumo wrestling forever and will forever be remembered as one of the greatest sumo wrestlers of all time, and not to brag, but I meet him the other day here in Danang VN!

The other day I went to this event : https://fb.me/e/2xmZqTVNG

At the end of the day, even though the Sumo gathering didn't feature an actual match, it was still pretty cool to check out the wrestlers up close. The atmosphere was a bit awkward, but it was still really fun to get to chat with the wrestlers and take some pictures. I had never seen a Sumo wrestler in real life before, so it was really neat to finally get the chance to see them firsthand. I'm hoping I get to experience a real Sumo match the next time I'm near one of those events!

What about you? Have you ever watched a SUMO match?

For real, it's such an interesting sport to watch! The two wrestlers, who are called rikishi, wear nothing more than a mawashi (a cotton belt) around their waists and compete in an arena. The goal is to force your opponent out of the circle or make them touch the ground with any part of their body other than their feet.

What are your thoughts about the sport?

I think it's an amazing sport to watch and I'm always impressed by the strength and skill of the competitors.

Cheers and thanks for taking the time to read my post today. :)

Hi @buildawhale ,
I am curious as to why you gave me a big down vote on my post? Sure you have the right to pick and choose what you think is good content, but just wondering, did I do something to offend you?
