Nice database record. Jadeja always performs well in the death overs, so it's not surprising that Maxwell was dismissed five times. Maxwell rarely fares well against spinning attacks.

I'd disagree about Maxwell being poor against spin in general though. His role in the team is to take on the slow bowlers in those middle overs and he's generally very effective at it.

By contrast, you can look at his record against Ashwin average of 54.7 and strike rate of 197! Or Chahal average of 33, strike rate of 177!

In fact, no other batsmen appearing in IPL 2024 has scored more runs in T20s against those 2 high quality spinners than Maxwell has!

If he does have a weakness it's against left-arm spinners who bowl the ball quite quick and flat i.e Jadeja, Krunal Pandya, Axar Patel, Mitch Santner. All these guys have good records against Maxwell
