Now we know that Manchester united has been on a winning run, its two games actually, a 3-1 win against Brentford and a scrappy but deserved 1-nil win against West ham. These were good games of some sort but something else caught my attention during the game against Brentford, it was the moment when Cr7 was subbed off in the game, in a tactical move by coach Ralph. I think I'll call his reactions to the game as 'throwing tantrums'. To me it was childish, even though i understand that he's a man with a fighting spirit and would like to play every minute of every game. Why would i say such? We'll get to that.

'Reminisce'

Let's delve into an overview of the game. After having watched the game myself, i still went on to read some commentaries on the game and most will agree that it was a game of two halves. Many even went on to say that Manchester united came out lucky, including Brentford coach. It looks to be true but I disagree to that. Yes Brentford had most of the better chances of the game especially in the first half, but all this went on to show just why there are not at the top of the table at the moment, that lack the killer instinct at the final third. They weren't unlucky, De Gea was simply at the top of his game with some wonderful saves. They huffed and puffed, but still didn't find a way through. In a few words, they lacked quality!

Reading the other paragraph preceding this without watching the game, one might easily think Man united were just dormant and defended for the entire first half, well that wasn't the case, they also had their moments, but they were few and somewhat insignificant. Well the moments they had in the second half were very significant compared to the first. We saw some improvements, McTominay bossing the middle alongside the revitalized Fred we've seen under Ralph. The attack suddenly came to life and this caused Brentford troubles which eventually led to them conceding some goals.

"Stop Reminiscing"..... lol 😆
So what does all this has to do with Ronaldo and his 'tantrums'. First let me make it know to you, Ronaldo had a good game here, infact he was involved in the second goal of the evening, where he dropped deep to chest a pass onto Bruno. This singular movement opened up the space and to be honest, that should have been a Ronaldo assist. Soon after that goal, Ralph decided to make some tactical tweaks, and it was understandable by all except one, Ronaldo.

Remember when Manchester united were 2 goals up against Aston villa and then the match eventually ended in a draw, infact had the been more time, they could have lost the game. Well if you don't remember this, don't be bothered too much, Ralph remembered and didn't want the same to happen so he chose to go for some more defense and fresh legs at the front. This paid off. Rashy scored a third but Brentford got one back. Now this was where the extra defence and composure of Maguire was needed. The defense seemed shaky but the coach has seem it before had and tried to avoid another funny scoreline buy securing the win. It all worked out well. They saw out the game and won.

Oh poor Ronnie, I know you're a very ambitious man and would like to play till you're well over 50(not gonna happen), and score goals to set records that will not be broken until the next 50-100 years( already have some of those though) but this time, just this time, you have to leave those lofty ambitions of yours and politely come off for the good of the team. Imagine a situation where Ronaldo gets to score 10 goals in that game but his team lost by 11 goals to 10. Well congrats Ronnie, you've just successfully scored 10 consolation goals. Ouch. He could've still done a lot in the game and maybe go on to score himself but that was unlikely. Fresh legs Rashy at the front paid off with a beautiful morale boosting goal.

I get the fact there was still need for attack and why should a team like Manchester united look to defend, well snap out of that dream, this is not the Manchester united of old times. Even Sir Alex made similar moves in his time. Mr 'Gengen press' didn't know what to make of the reaction until the goal came and he then went over to Ronnie and they were seem to have some chit chat.

In the next game against West ham, the young, English, MBA holder did the trick again after some tactical tweaks from the coach, again, this time leaving Ronaldo on the field.
