BLOG# 0002: MY JOURNEY AS A PE TEACHER IN THE FUTURE
Hello everyone! I just wanna share here my journey as a PE teacher in the future. When I passed the entrance exam I was nervous. Because I don't know if I can handle life as a college student. But when the school year started, I met new classmates who became my friends until now that I am in my sophomore year.
Many people say that "that's just PE" "That's just an easy course". But they don't know what they are saying, they said "just" because they don't know much about this course, they say it's easy, but for me it's also difficult. In this course you need to be physically fit, you must have a sport. Our other professors said that PE teachers differ greatly from other majors. Because based on what they see as a PE teacher, many people don't like the PE subject because others find it difficult to perform, and play. Because PE is the course I chose, I enjoy and appreciate this course more because it's fun and I can maintain being physically fit.
As a PE teacher, I am not only outside making students perform, but I also teach inside the classroom. I also make lesson plans, study lessons to teach students, make quizzes and exams. As a teacher, it is difficult to do reports and demonstrations at the same time because you have many lessons to learn and it is not just learning the lessons, the information given to the students must also be correct. Being a teacher is a commitment. Since I chose this field I should be committed to teaching my students. I will shape them, give them knowledge, and guide them in whatever direction they want to take in the future.
As a teacher they also become a second parent in the classroom. Their parents leave them to the teacher and it is our responsibility as a teacher to give love, care and knowledge to their children.

Marami kasi binabalewa lang ang PE kasi di nga raw major subject. But if one is aiming at a wholistic education, Physical Education should have the same weight as other major subject. Same goes for music and arts too.
