You’ve been targeted by the blockchain thought police, I see, not for making opinionated claims, peddling ‘conspiracy theories’ or sharing controversial facts about the injection that may cause ‘vaccine hesitancy’, but rather for sharing documented mainstream news stories and simply asking what’s going on. Wow.

Do keep up the good work, so many appreciate it!

Ha, thanks for saying that.
Yes, I did spot the downvotes. I don't profess to be particularly knowledgeable about the intricacies of the Hive blockchain so I have never felt wise enough to really share my thoughts on the topic. But I'm assuming it's generally utilised in a way to "censor" or reduce the impact of a post which has a fair amount of attention?

When I posted the first "athletes" video compilation it was the first time I had really been attacked by trolls (not that I'm suggesting that's what downvoters are) since doing this whole video thing (mostly via Telegram), so I felt then that I knew I was onto something. Most of the time it's me being attacked rather than the information, which as I'm sure you'll agree is generally quite telling.

I'm not here for money/tokens (though it sure is a bonus), just to ask questions and share hopefully interesting and thought provoking stuff, I also like to communicate and debate with others so the biggest shame to me with this downvoting trend is that I very rarely see the downvoters share anything constructive, provide a reasoning or communicate on posts they may not agree with - Personally I have no problems with being told I'm wrong about something and would encourage feedback of any sort.

So while I'm probably a little naive about the inner workings of Hive I've always thought that maybe either an upvote/downvote should come with a requirement to comment, so that it works both ways and encourages more dialogue and provides the downvoters the platform to actually be constructive rather than vote and run away. In the same way the upvotes which come with a comment are motivational and again encourage a dialogue to be opened up which is sometimes lacking on many posts.

Thanks again for the encouragement, it's really appreciated.
Peace. J Wilderness
