(ESP-ENG) Drama al máximo se vivió ayer en la F1 // Drama to the maximum at F1 yesterday.
Hello friends, good vibes to all.
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix that took place yesterday proved that formula one is not at all boring and without emotions as many people insist on calling it, in fact, I dare to say that it has been the craziest race and why not one of the best that have been given in this season that is about to culminate. So much so that the two drivers who are in the quest for the championship will arrive tied in points to the last race of the year.
I think we haven't seen it all yet because if yesterday there were emotions and suspense what we will see next week will be twice as much of everything. And is that literally last night in Jeddah we witnessed almost everything that can happen in a race with the extra ingredient that both Verstappen and Hamilton were running everything for everything.
The truth is that I knew it would be a race with many ups and downs and look what it was. The lights went out and the pilots came out with the purpose of looking for the most points both individually and for their respective teams, all this without knowing the chaos that was going to be present after a certain number of laps of the circuit.
Most of the drivers certainly had nothing to lose, many of them were not fighting for important positions in the final standings but there will always be something called sporting pride that makes them always look for the best possible result in spite of everything. The race went on without mishaps until lap 10 when the first yellow/red flag appeared and with it the strategies went out the window.
This stop was of great benefit to the Dutchman as he had the opportunity to change tires, something that the Mercedes had done in a previous pit stop. The drama continued and 3 laps later came the second red flag due to a collision and again chaos reigned on the track. In all the time I have been watching formula one I think it was the first time I saw something like this, so many events in such a short time was certainly something amazing to see.
We were watching a real battle between these two titans because the final prize was very big and important, a battle that also with the red flags became much more traumatic and stressful both for them and for the spectators. Meanwhile the accidents continued and Raikkonen, Tsunoda, Perez and Alonso were some of those who suffered the consequences of a track extremely complicated to handle and lead.
There were less than 15 laps to the checkered flag when an incident occurred between HAM and VER. In a risky maneuver by the Red Bull driver to prevent Hamilton from overtaking him, the former was asked to yield the position back to the Briton, and this is when what nobody expected but we were all waiting for one reason or another occurs: The Crash.
Max Verstappen was given a 5 second penalty that would later become 10 seconds. In these moments certainly the atmosphere was very tense both on the track and in the pits of the teams, I repeat, it was a race of many emotions and dramas never seen before in this sport. From this moment the race would be another, Hamilton in a fleeting movement overtakes Verstappen and until the end of the race we would not see any changes, the British wins a crazy prize, Max is second and Bottas who manages to overtake almost at the end to Estaban Ocon finished third.
It is races like these that get me hooked on this sport day after day. It is a sport where the adrenaline is always present from the moment of the pole position to the appearance of the checkered flag. There is ONE race left, the last one in Abu Dhabi next weekend which promises many things because, as incredible as it may sound, NOTHING is decided yet.
Max Verstappen y Lewis Hamilton están empatados en puntos con 369.5 puntos por lo que el plato está servido para un final de temporada de infarto.
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are tied on points with 369.5 points, making for a heart-stopping end to the season.
¡Un abrazo a todos, nos leemos en la próxima!
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.
Hugs to all, see you next time!
