Las conversaciones siempre pasan por el debate del mejor delantero, el mejor mediocampo y hasta el mejor central pero pocas veces el balón llega a la portería para discutir quién merece ser llamado el mejor guardameta de la actualidad. Este tema vino a mi mente por dos razones: la reciente publicación de los nominados al trofeo Yashin que será entregado en la gala del balón de oro y por todo el tema que está ocurriendo con Donnarumma quien al momento en el que estoy escribiendo estas líneas no tiene equipo, (PSG pero no está siendo tomado en cuenta). Entonces, se me hace inevitable preguntarme cómo un portero que lo ganó casi todo la temporada pasada está sin jugar hasta el momento.

Imagínense ustedes que si el mejor portero del mundo para muchos esté en esta compleja situación, ¿que se puede esperar para el resto?. Pero entonces, ¿el italiano si es el mejor en la actualidad? - para mi, si. Pilar para el PSG y su consecución del UCL, ganador de la liga francesa, de la Copa de Francia y de la supercopa del mismo país; lo ganó casi todo la temporada pasada. Donnarumma tuvo un momento en donde la duda se plantó en él tras su salida del Milan y llegada al PSG pero con el tiempo ha logrado afianzarse completamente hasta convertirse en el arquero que es hoy en día.

Sabemos que toda premiación que devenga de esta gala es algo dudosa por el estado de poca credibilidad que tiene toda la ceremonia pero puede que ayude a ver el panorama ligeramente más claro. No veo que el italiano perder ese premio. El belga del Real Madrid no tuvo una buena temporada, ni personal ni colectiva; Becker ganó con el Liverpool la Premier pero siento que él nunca ha sido tan determinante bajo los palos; el Dibu, el actual portador del título del mejor arquero, tampoco lo veo repitiendo. Siempre me ha extrañado lo de Martinez, puedo entender en el 2023 (ganó el mundial) pero el premio del año pasado nunca lo comprendí. Es un animal atajando pero está en el Aston Villa, equipo que en la temporada pasada se quedó fuera de Champions.

The only ones with a positive average were the Italian and the Liverpool goalkeeper. I think this is the statistic to take into account; it would be the equivalent of goals and assists for an attacker or midfielder. If we add to all this the fact that Donnarumma has won four titles and Becker the Premier League, the fight SHOULD be between them. Is that going to be what happens? Frankly, I doubt it. The voting and who's voting is a total disaster. But anyway, hopefully we'll see something similar.

El mercado de fichajes termina en menos de dos semanas. Me costaría ver que un arquero como Donnarumma se quede relegado a la banca porque estamos en un punto en donde su destino no está en sus manos, ya él dio el sí al City de Guardiola, hay que esperar que lleguen las ofertas por Emerson (el Galatasaray está interesado). Una novela que nadie esperaba que pudiera darse la estamos viviendo en los últimos día de mercado, una novela incomprensible para mi. Luis Enrique es uno de los mejores técnicos de la actualidad y de siempre y sus razones habrá tenido para apartar al italiano después de haberlo ganado todo pero igual no deja de sorprender la noticia. Me inclino a que fue algo a nivel de vestuario más allá de lo deportivo, a lo mejor no estaba viendo la armonía que espera en sus jugadores; no lo se, aquí especulando cosas.

Bueno, a mí me gustaría que lo gane Donnarumma, más que todo por lo que hizo con el PSG, donde ganó casi todos los trofeos. Y me gustaría verlo con el equipo del Manchester United. O también ver el regreso de De Gea. Ojalá lo gane este portero.
Debería de ganarlo el italiano , yo lo que espero es que no hayan sorpresas en torno a ese premio porque sería muy decepcionante.
