Esta semana terminó la primera rueda de los octavos de final de esta Champions League, unos partidos de ida que pintaban para ser demás interesantes y que en efecto lo fueron. Vimos a varios equipos los cuales están pasando por situaciones complicadas en sus ligas domesticas al punto que ganar en esta competición era una obligación y una necesidad, no había pie a equivocaciones. Equipos como el Madrid, Liverpool y el propio City a pesar de ser de los caballos europeos son clubes que no están en su mejor forma, o por lo menos así lo veo, están siendo muy inconsistentes, unos en resultados y la gran mayoría en su forma de juego. Eso cambió esta semana, uno de ellos calló bocas de una forma contundente mientras que los otros dos siguen siendo un mar de dudas.

Por otra parte el Liverpool viene en una situación parecida, racha de dos partidos ganados en la Premier subiendo dos puestos en la tabla de posiciones para ubicarse octavos pero aún muy lejos de ese nivel de temporadas pasadas.

Honestamente tenía las expectativas altas porque sabía que este partido iba a ser complicado y vistoso, me equivoqué un poco con lo primero pero definitivamente no con lo segundo. Daba inicio al partido y me di cuenta que los ingleses salieron con hambre, salieron a matar y a liquidar un encuentro temprano con presión alta y acorralando a un Madrid que parecía que se había quedado en el vestuario. Y fue tanto ese ahogamiento que al minuto cuatro, gracias a un pase quirúrgico de Salah el uruguayo Darwin Núñez hace una genialidad y lleva el balón al fondo de la red. Se materializó esas ganas de los Reds y ya el panorama se veía oscuro para los blancos, seguía ese ímpetu y de nuevo gracias a una presión muy alta llega el segundo gol por un error de novato de Courtois, un mal manejo de la pelota lo aprovechó el egipcio para sentenciar, o eso creía uno, el 2-0 en el marcador.

Con aquello se iba el primer tiempo y llegaba el segundo, un segundo que sería la peor pesadilla de los dirigidos por Klopp. Esto lo digo porque apenas saliendo al campo llegaría el tercer gol producto de Militao lo que para mi se tradujo en la sentencia final al Liverpool. Uno de los problemas de ellos es defensivo, Joe Gomez (vuelvo y repito) es un hueco, ese jugador no está en el nivel para jugar en un primer equipo de tanta envergadura como el Liverpool, sus fallos son muy grandes y evidentes. Y si a esto le sumamos que Van Dijk tampoco está en el nivel al que nos tiene acostumbrados pues es muy obvio que esa defensa sea un coladero. A partir de acá sería todo del Madrid, los blancos hicieron lo que quisieron, manejaron el partido a su antojo, Benzema, que era duda, se dio el lujo de hacer un doblete; todo le salió perfecto a los españoles.

Los dirigidos por Guardiola no están pasando por una crisis de resultados pero si de efectividad y de juego. Van de segundos en la Premier y que de sus últimos cinco partidos llevan 3 ganados. Si hay un equipo inconstante son ellos y la mejor prueba de ellos fue el partido de ayer contra los alemanes. Un equipo de Leipzig que la verdad viene en una forma decente, si, van de quintos en la Bundesliga pero a 4 puntos del líder. El City llegaba con la intención de salir airosos en esta visita para terminar el trabajo en la vuelta que es en el Etihad pero se encontraron con un equipo bien parado. El partido comenzaría con el balón en los pies del City pero sin generar nada de peligro, era una posesión estéril, me cuesta creer que semejante equipo con semejante poder ofensivo no haya sido capaz de ser más peligrosos.

No digo que esto sea algo grave porque cada jugador es como es y tiene sus características propias pero si es verdad que al City le podría venir un poco de ayuda un jugador así porque actualmente no cuenta con uno. Bernardo Silva para mi fue el mejor ayer, la manera en como maneja y conduce el balón y mismo el juego es alucinante pero no fue suficiente.

Entonces, el primer tiempo sería de los ingleses quien por intermedio de Mahrez llegaría el primero de los ciudadanos gracias a una jugada en donde con un derechazo batiría a Blaswich y así irse al descanso con una victoria por lo mínima. El City estaría lejos de tener resuelto el partido ya que en la segunda parte los roles se cambiarían, el Leipzig tomaría el control total y absoluto del juego al punto de que generaron mucho más peligro que el City y tuvieron la oportunidad de haberse ido con una victoria. Gvardiol sería el encargado del empate con cabezazo en un córner. Si me preguntan los alemanes jugaron mejor, fueron más incisivos, tuvieron mejor la pelota, fueron más claros y es que anularon casi en su totalidad al Manchester City. Otro equipo inglés que no perdió pero que demostró que Inglaterra está peleada con esta Champions League.

Creo que pocos hubiesen apostado por una caída general de los británicos en ésta primera vuelta. Incluso, algunos de ellos se vieron en muy mala posición para sacar adelante ahora su eliminatoria. Estará complicado para algunos, quienes irán a terreno hostíl para vuelta. Para nosotros, nos brindará más espectáculo. Saludos @javyeslava.photo
El que más complicado la tiene sin dudas es el Liverpool porque tanto el Chelsea como el City y el mismo Tottenham tienen chance aún. Pero es lo que dices, creo que será un buen ingrediente la urgencia de esos equipos para un buen espectáculo.

Yo también tenía altas expectativas, además con ese comienzo del Liverpool, pensé que podrían golear o que el Madrid colocará el resultado en un partidazo. Pues, también me equivoqué, Real Madrid simplemente hizo el juego de un solo lado, no entiendo que pase con el Liverpool, pero seguramente Kloop termine saliendo del equipo.
Lo que menciona de Haaland, lo comparto contigo, justo en el juego, dijeron una estadística importante y que recalca eso. Este jugador toca en promedio 17 veces la pelota por juego, claramente es un monstruo para hacer tantos goles con tan pocos toques, pero también tiene sus desventajas. Los veo pasando, pero horita si tiene una mini crisis.
Yo no sé si el City la tiene tan fácil, de verdad que ese segundo tiempo fue bastante lamentable. Y bueno con un Haaland que no ayuda mucho y totalmente perdido en el área no se que tanto pueden hacer.
También pienso que si el Liverpool no endereza puede que estemos viendo los últimos partidos de Klopp, veremos. El Madrid dio un paseo de jerarquía.
Luego de los resultados de estás fechas de champions estuve pensando sobre esto, que siempre los equipos de la premier dejan mucho que desear en esta competencia, incluso algunos equipos han dicho que es más importante la liga que está. En el partido Liverpool vs. Real Madrid pensé que los rojos ganarían cuando iban 2-0, pero nunca debemos dar por derrotados al conjunto blanco, siempre se crecen en la adversidad en este torneo.
Muy buen análisis, veremos qué pasa en la definición de estos octavos de final de la champions y los equipos ingleses.

Si, el Liverpool tenía todo para liquidar ese partido en el primer tiempo y no lo hizo, dejó que el Madrid empatara y ahí se le fue toda opción. Es grave lo del Liverpool, defensivamente están dejando mucho que desear.
A pesar de que la Premier es la mejor liga del mundo, para mi, siempre sus equipos pasan trabajo extra en Champions, es raro eso.
El Chelsea y el City aún pueden pasar de ronda, yo la verdad sigo viendo al City como un candidato importante a ganar este trofeo, después del Madrid los veo como el segundo mejor equipo. Ya veremos que pasa en la vuelta pero a pesar de que no están a pleno rendimiento, igual creo que llegan lejos.
Chelsea y Liverpool están sufriendo un gran bajón y allí poco se puede hacer la verdad.
Coincido. Ellos pueden que pasen de ronda pero el City por lo menos a mi me sigue sin convencer, es verdad que el equipo que tienen les da para ganar y más pero no se, hay algo ahí que no me termina de cerrar con ellos, que al final el Leipzig terminara jugando mejor es un llamado de atención.
El Liverpool si está complicado, a ellos si los veo muy afuera!
