Acá estamos después del parón veraniego para vivir uno de los circuitos más complejos y característicos del calendario de la F1, el de los Países Bajos. Fueron como unas tres semanas en donde los pilotos pudieron aparta la mente de las pistas, relajarse y enfocarse en la recta final del año. Tal parece que a algunos les vino bien el descanso, a otros lamentablemente no y es una lástima teniendo en cuenta que este próxima fin de semana tendremos nada más y nada menos que el premio de Italia, en el Autódromo de Monza. Esto lo digo por todo lo que pasó con los Ferrari, no con uno sino con ambos autos. ¿Cómo llegará la moral de los tifosi para correr en casa?.
Here we are after the summer break to experience one of the most complex and distinctive circuits on the F1 calendar, the Netherlands. It was about three weeks where the drivers were able to take their minds off the track, relax, and focus on the final stretch of the year. It seems the break was good for some, but sadly not for others, and it's a shame considering that this coming weekend we have none other than the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza Autodrome. I say this because of everything that happened with the Ferraris, not just one but both cars. How will the fans' morale be for racing at home?
La situación de Hamilton es crítica, lo tuvimos en Hungría dando unas declaraciones realmente fuertes contra si mismo siendo muy duro con su desempeño para que ahora el día de ayer abandonara la carrera de la forma en como lo hizo, algo muy poco común en un piloto con la jerarquía de él, ver a Lewis estrellarse contra un muro es como ver a un perro verde. Y si a esto le sumamos que para Monza tiene una penalidad de 5 puestos por no reducir la velocidad en una bandera amarilla pues el panorama está lejos de mejorar. Sin dudas este año de "adaptación" está siendo muy duro para el británico, por lo menos yo nunca lo he visto cómodo con ese auto ni con el equipo.
Hamilton's situation is critical. We had him in Hungary making some really strong statements about himself, being very harsh on his performance, only to have to abandon the race yesterday in the way he did, something very unusual for a driver of his stature. Seeing Lewis crash into a wall is like seeing a green dog. And if we add to this the fact that he has a five-place penalty for Monza for not reducing speed under a yellow flag, the outlook is far from improving. Without a doubt, this year of "adaptation" has been very tough for the Briton; at least I've never seen him comfortable with that car or the team.

Pero es que Leclerc no se queda atrás. Primero tuvo un incidente con Russell que quedó en nada pero que la verdad fue algo que dio de que hablar para después tener un choque con Antonelli que lo dejaría fuera del premio. El joven italiano recibió una sanción pero al final el monegasco tuvo que abandonar el premio para darnos una de las fotos más curiosas de él contemplando la carrera desde los alrededores de la pista. Fue un fin de semana muy negro para la Ferrari con sus datos autos dañados y con sus dos pilotos con la moral en mínimos. Muchas de estas cosas pasan porque el circuito de Zandvoort es muy estrecho por lo que adelantar es complicado, esto hace que los toques o incidentes estén a la orden del día.
But Leclerc isn't far behind. First, he had an incident with Russell that came to nothing but was truly something to talk about, and then a collision with Antonelli that would leave him out of the prize. The young Italian received a penalty, but in the end, the Monegasque had to abandon the prize to give us one of the most curious photos of him watching the race from the outskirts of the track. It was a very dark weekend for Ferrari, with their cars damaged and both drivers' morale at rock bottom. Many of these things happen because the Zandvoort circuit is very narrow, making overtaking difficult, which makes collisions or incidents commonplace.
Ya hablamos de Russell con Leclerc, por ahí se vio lo de Sainz con Lawson que terminó con sanción para el español y otros incidentes menores. No hay que decir nada acerca del joven piloto de Racing Bulls, sabemos de sus comportamientos en pistas y poco se puede hacer. La otra cara de la moneda fue Albon quien con ese Williams se metió P5, Sainz también tenía oportunidad pero no se pudo. Hay otro piloto con el que Zandvoort no tuvo tregua y ese Lando Norris. Es verdad que escapa de sus manos lo sucedido pero sin dudas fue un golpe duro al mundial y a la clasificación, de estar peleando por el liderato a quedar fuera por un problema en la unidad de potencia es lo menos que quieres que te suceda. Esto le abre aún más la puert a Piastri para que encamine su rumbo a su primer campeonato, faltan 9 carreras es cierto, pero dejar de sumar puntos al final va a pesar.
We've already talked about Russell and Leclerc, and we saw the incident with Sainz and Lawson, which ended with a penalty for the Spaniard and other minor incidents. There's nothing to say about the young Racing Bulls driver; we know his behavior on track, and there's little that can be done. The other side of the coin was Albon, who got into P5 with that Williams. Sainz also had a chance, but it just wasn't enough. Hablando ahora en unos términos un poco menos trágicos habría que hacer mención a la espectacular carrera que hizo Isack Hadjar, el mejor novato, contra todo pronóstico, que estamos teniendo en la temporada. Salió de P4 y logró hacerle frente a la presión de Leclerc durante gran parte de la carrera, después tuvo a Russell detrás y tampoco bajó la guardia, no cometió errores y manejó de una manera muy prolija. La vida misma lo premió con su primer podio en la F1 y muy merecido por el gran trabajo que está haciendo con la gente de Racing Bulls. Espero que por lo menos siga allí una temporada más y no cometa el error de irse a Red Bull, creo que sería lo menos favorable para él. Oscar Piastri fue otro que volvió a correr con mucho temple. Me sorprende lo calmado, frío y calculador que es, pienso que tiene una mente privilegiada y muy madura para tener la edad que tiene.
Speaking in slightly less tragic terms, I should mention the spectacular race driven by Isack Hadjar, the best rookie we've had this season, against all odds. He started from P4 and managed to hold off pressure from Leclerc for much of the race. He then had Russell right behind him and never let his guard down, making no mistakes and driving very neatly. Life itself rewarded him with his first podium in F1, and it's well deserved for the great work he's doing with the people at Racing Bulls. I hope he stays there for at least one more season and doesn't make the mistake of moving to Red Bull; I think it would be the least favorable for him. Oscar Piastri was another who returned to racing with great composure. I'm surprised by how calm, cool, and calculating he is. I think he has a privileged mind and is very mature for his age.
34 puntos separan a Norris de Piastri, no es mucho pero viendo el ritmo que trae el joven australiano se ve difícil que baje el ritmo y su nivel. Verstappen terminó segundo haciendo una carrera modesta siempre por detrás de los McLaren. El campeonato creo que sigue abierto pero tendrían que pasar cosas para que Norris vuelva a acercarse a su compañero. Por lo pronto nos vemos en Italia para uno de los premios más míticos de la Fórmula 1.
34 points separate Norris from Piastri. It's not much, but given the young Australian's pace, it seems unlikely he'll slow down. Verstappen finished second, having a modest race, always behind the McLarens. I think the championship is still open, but things would have to happen for Norris to close in on his teammate again. For now, we'll see you in Italy for one of Formula 1's most legendary awards.

Es cierto, esa situación del abandono de Norris se les escapa de las manos, pero siento que mentalmente muchas veces no está preparado, comete sus errores, en este sentido, Piastri es más fuerte mentalmente. Más allá de el abandono, Norris me decepcionó en la carrera aunque por momentos tenía más ritmo que su compañero Pero siento que el australiano estaba controlando más la carrera, pues luego apretaba y la diferencia entre estos dos prácticamente se mantenía.
La carrera tuvo ciertos momentos interesantes Pero en general se me hizo tediosa.

Ese es el problema de Norris, la mentalidad. Y que también Piastri le lleva mucha ventaja en ese departamento. Honestamente me gustaría que lo ganara el australiano el mundial, creo que en líneas generales ha manejado mucho mejor la presión y las carreras, se le ha visto más suelto y virtuoso.
La carrera fue un 5/10.
