(ESP-ENG) 11 livery, ¿alguna sorpresa? - [Opinión]

A comienzos de esta semana finalmente los equipos de la F1 terminaron de presentar los que serán sus autos de cara a la temporada 2026 que está a pocas semanas de dar inicio. Estas fechas siempre generan expectación entre los fanáticos porque incluso con el tema estético hay competencia; quien hizo mejor trabajo, originalidad, diseño, combinación de colores, etc. Como se sabe este año hay un equipo más en las pistas, Cadillac, del que se desde hace tiempo se había comenzado a hablar mucho. Hoy lo que pretendo es simplemente dar una opinión sobre cual son, para mi, las livery más acertadas y cuáles no lo son tanto y precisamente quiero comenzar con la gente de Cadillac, nueva casa del Checo Pérez y Valtteri Bottas.
Earlier this week, the F1 teams finally unveiled their cars for the 2026 season, which is just weeks away from starting. These dates always generate excitement among fans because there's competition even in terms of aesthetics: who did the best job, originality, design, color scheme, etc. As you know, there's a new team on the track this year, Cadillac, which has been generating a lot of buzz for some time. Today, I simply want to give my opinion on which liveries I think are the most successful and which aren't, and I want to start with Cadillac, the new home of Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas.
De las 11 esta entra sin dudas entre las más estilizadas y bonitas para mi, que sea blanca y negra con una degradación llegando a los grises creo se ve muy bien. El detalle de los neumáticos que son blancos también le dan un toque interesante aunque en pista a veces pareciera que no los usan. Hay personas a los que no les gusta pero creo que mientras más simple sea todo pues mejor se verá. Además de que al ser su primer auto pues una referencia clara no existe. Para este servidor ésta livery está aprobada, veremos si competitivamente da la talla. La segunda livery que me llamó mucho la atención y fue porque en relación a la del 2025 es un poco diferente siendo esta bastante superior es la Red Bull.
Of the 11 liveries, this one is undoubtedly among the most stylish and attractive in my opinion. The black and white color scheme with a gradient towards gray looks great. The white tires also add an interesting touch, although on the track it sometimes seems like they're not using them. Some people don't like it, but I think the simpler everything is, the better it looks. Besides, since it's their first car, there's no clear reference point. Personally, I approve of this livery; we'll see if it performs competitively. The second livery that caught my attention, and it's because it's quite different from the 2025 livery and significantly superior, is the Red Bull livery.
El cambio que tuvo la marca austriaca fue de 180 grados. El del 2025 era todo mate y un azul un poco más oscuro, acá volvieron un poco a los colores de años anteriores pero mucho más brillante y con claros. Genuinamente estamos ante un auto que se me muy bien, esa combinación con el amarillo y el toro rojo creo que se aprecia espectacular. No pensé que fueran a cambiar tanto pero como últimamente en Red Bull han habido muchos cambios pues imagino que por ahí quisieron que fueran las cosas. Es más bonito que el Cadillac así que en efecto estamos ante el livery más atractivo del 2026.
The Austrian brand's change was a complete 180. The 2025 livery was all matte and a slightly darker blue; this one has returned somewhat to the colors of previous years, but much brighter and with highlights. We're genuinely looking at a car that I think looks great; that combination with the yellow and the red bull is spectacular. I didn't think they would change so much, but since there have been many changes at Red Bull lately, I imagine that's the direction they wanted. It's prettier than the Cadillac, so this is indeed the most attractive livery of the 2026 model.
El Haas es mi tercera selección. Con relación al del 2025 este es mucho más blanco y lo que más me gusta es lo clásico que se ve, evoca mucho a los autos que se veían hace 20-30 años atrás porque buscan mantenerlo simple. Sus patrocinantes no son invasivos, se fusionan muy bien con el diseño y que al final esa mezcla entre el blanco, rojo y negro siempre funciona. La temporada pasada no fue nada mala para ellos, esperemos que en este 2026 puedan por lo menos mantenerse haciendo carreras decentes. Quiero hacer una mención especial al Ferrari quien este año creo que fue otro que volvió a autos clásicos del pasado y que también para mi fue un gran acierto.
The Haas is my third choice. Compared to the 2025 model, this one is much whiter, and what I like most is its classic look. It's very reminiscent of cars from 20-30 years ago because they strive for simplicity. Their sponsors aren't intrusive; they blend in well with the design, and that combination of white, red, and black always works. Last season wasn't bad at all for them, and hopefully, in 2026, they can at least maintain a decent performance. I want to give a special mention to Ferrari, who this year I think was another team that returned to classic cars of the past, which I also think was a great success.
El color rojo del año pasado era más oscuro y nada parecido al histórico de Ferrari que este año si lograron traer. Con Ferrari siempre va a existir una expectación total por ser una de las escuderías más populares e importantes así que este año pensaría que sus fanáticos pueden estar contento con este livery. El no tener el blanco en el alerón trasero y habérselo extendido en la parte superior fue otra decisión acertada. Per como hay livery que dieron de qué hablar por su bonita estética creo que hay otros que tuvieron el efecto contrario. Y si, hablo de la gente de Audi. Sus colores combinan muy bien, la cosa es que no supieron cómo hacerlo armónico al punto de que terminó quedando como un prototipo. No conecté con este auto, la verdad es que no me llama la atención.
Last year's red was darker and nothing like Ferrari's historic red, which they managed to bring back this year. With Ferrari, there's always going to be a huge amount of anticipation because they're one of the most popular and important teams, so I think their fans might be happy with this livery this year. Not having the white on the rear wing and extending it to the top was another good decision. But while some liveries have generated buzz for their beautiful aesthetics, I think others have had the opposite effect. And yes, I'm talking about Audi. Their colors combine very well, but they didn't know how to make it harmonious, to the point that it ended up looking like a prototype. I didn't connect with this car; honestly, it doesn't appeal to me.
Y en cuanto a los otros equipos creo que son un poco más de lo mismo. McLaren, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Racing Bull, Williams. Es verdad que si hay pequeñas variaciones pero en esencia son casi los mismos autos del año pasado. Alpine es otro que no me convenció mucho tampoco, no al nivel de Audi pero si creo que se queda un poco por detrás del resto.
As for the other teams, I think they're more of the same. McLaren, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Racing Bull, Williams. There are some minor variations, but essentially they're almost the same cars as last year. Alpine is another team that didn't really convince me either; not at Audi's level, but I do think they fall a bit short of the rest.
