Todos los ojos del mundo estarán atentos el día domingo para lo que será otro clásico más en la historia del Real Madrid y del Barcelona. Es un partido que viene, como casi siempre, con una carga importante de competitividad y es que los blancos están líderes por dos puntos por sobre precisamente los catalanes (24-22 puntos, respectivamente). Esto quiere decir que o uno amplia la ventaja a 5 puntos o el otro se pone líder de la Liga. Pero para entender un poco como pueden llegar ambos clubes a la cita del fin de semana habría que ver cómo les fue en esta jornada de Champions que culminó el día de ayer.

La realidad es que antes de eso el encuentro podía estar equilibrado, la intensidad con la que los visitantes comenzaron a apretar fue muy dura y asfixiante, evidentemente ese ritmo no se puede sostener y poco a poco el Barca empezó a encontrarse. Fuimos testigos de un Fermín extraordinario, el joven medio campo está en un estado impresionante con todo y que está saliendo de una lesión. Se fue con un triplete, lo acompañaron Lamine con gol de penal y una dupleta de Rashford.

Hay que hablar de lo efectivo e importante que ha sido para los blaugranas la incorporación de Marcus Rashford. Un jugador que llegó a la delantera a presionar, desequilibrar y hacer goles, todo esto ante la ausencia de Lewandowski por lesión y porque el nivel poco a poco lo está bajando. De otro jugador del que también habría que hablar es de Dro Fernández, un canterano que con apenas 17 años hizo un gran partido el día martes y es que Flick salió con 7-8 jugadores de la masía y el resultado fue más allá del esperado. La realidad es que el estado de gracia en el que se encuentra este Barcelona es muy bueno a pesar de aquella derrota contra el Sevilla por 4-1.

No es que Xabi Alonso haya encontrado la fórmula secreta, porque creo que aún no lo ha hecho, pero si que es cierto que a veces se ven destellos de un juego asociado top. Esto lo digo porque el partido de ayer fue uno extraño, uno que de no haber sido por los porteros de ambos lados hubiera terminado mucho más abultado.

Con un gol en solitario de Bellingham después de una gran jugada de Vinicius el Madrid supera a los italiano por apenas 1-0. Courtois fue clave para mantener la valla en 0 pero es que también Di Gregorio lo fue para la Juve. Siempre he pensado que Valverde de lateral es desperdiciarlo, no porque lo haga mal, sino porque donde él funciona y al Madrid le hace bien es el medio y eso ayer se notó. El nivel de Mbappé es impresionante, hoy por hoy fácilmente se puede decir que es el mejor jugador del mundo pero a veces hace falta algo más. Si ven del medio campo hacia arriba la plantilla es demencial pero falta "algo" para que termine de engranar esa maquinaria. Fue un partido complicado el de ayer y es que da la sensación de que siempre ganan con lo justo.

Entonces, ¿favorito para el domingo?. Pues para mi es el Barcelona, creo que vienen en mejor estado a pesar de las lesiones, contar con Raphinha ya es un plus vital. Pero todos sabemos que estos partidos siempre están fuera de toda lógica, a veces poco importa lo previo para lo que al final terminamos viendo en cancha. El partido será en el Bernabéu por lo que habrá que ver como acompaña la afición a los blancos. De lo que no tengo dudas es de que será un gran partido, uno que ligeramente está inclinado hacia el FC Barcelona. Veremos que pasa...
So, the favorite for Sunday? Well, for me it's Barcelona. I think they're in better shape despite the injuries, and having Raphinha is a vital plus. But we all know these games are always illogical; sometimes what we expect beforehand matters little for what we end up seeing on the pitch. Desde la aparición de Messi en aquel equipo soñado me simpatiza más el Barcelona que el Real Madrid pese a que allí también han jugado varios compatriotas, especialmente "la saeta rubia" Alfredo Di Stéfano que no vi jugar y solo me guio por las crónicas de sus hazañas.
Voy por el Barça aunque el resultado en estos momentos se me ocurre incierto.
