(ESP-ENG) En Tamburello se dictó sentencia.
Hello friends, good vibes to all.
Tamburello was or is one of the most fateful corners of Formula 1, for those who do not know it was where the great Ayrton Senna lost his life in 1994. After that day the FIA set out to considerably improve the safety measures of the single-seaters to reach the point we know today. Improvements that allowed nothing happened to Tsunoda after the terrible accident he had on Saturday in pole position. Colapinto also had an accident in that pole position that left him out of Q2 and that coincidentally was in the Tamburello curve. As you can see that area of the Autodromo Enzo Ferrari has to be taken seriously because it is so easy to make a mistake there, but if there is someone who did not make a mistake it was Max Verstappen.
Formula 1 races are almost always marked by details, small things that happen on track and that can seal the fate of a prize. Yesterday we saw something like that, as a simple maneuver dictated sentence and from that moment on the race never went out of the script. But to have more context we have to go to Saturday where again the McLaren were faster with a Piastri who seems to have all the intentions to fight hard for the championship. What they did not count on in the papaya team is that a certain Verstappen would give a fight, a lot of fight. I think that this weekend showed once again how good a driver the Dutchman is. He may not be to everyone's liking but the quality and skill he has behind the wheel is undeniable.
In that pole Piastri was first, Max second, Russell third and Lando Norris fourth, positions that would guarantee an entertaining start given the characteristics of the first corners after the start. The reality is that when the lights went out Oscar Piastri came out very well, even better than Verstappen but once they reached Tamburello the Red Bull driver's maneuver was unexpected and neat and is that by the inside he manages to sneak the young Australian and in just the first 2 corners we already had new leader of the race. As I was saying, this would be decisive for the development and the final result of the race, since the leadership would not change hands.
But, isn't it that McLarens are faster and have better pace than the rest? - Yes, the point is that in some cases the driver can be more important than the car itself. Verstappen with clean air is capable of managing a race to perfection, which he did because in just a few laps the advantage was more than 9 seconds. From here on what remained was to choose the best strategy for the number of stops to change tires. Some opted for one, others for two, which in the end did not help much because there was VSC and SC on track. Finally it was Max who took the prize and with it he cut points to Piastri who finished third and towards the end Lando overtook him in a fair fight on track.
McLaren are still the best on track but things don't always work out. Ferrari did not measure up at home, except for Hamilton who finished P4 from a P12. Mercedes' performance dropped, for the first time we saw Antonelli retire and Russell had a bad time as well. Spectacular the two Williams, Albon and Sainz fifth and eighth respectively showing that these cars are very fast and Hadjar who along with Antonelli are the best rookies on the grid, P9 for the Racing Bulls driver. Franco Colapinto's debut was not good, the important thing is to finish the races but this weekend did not go well at all.
The fact that Verstappen has won makes the fight more interesting as it shortens the gap between the third (Max) and the leader (Piastri) there are only 22 points. The fight for the constructors' championship is much more defined, 279 for McLaren against 147 for Mercedes and 131 for Red Bull or rather for Verstappen because Tsunoda is not existing. This week is a race week and Monaco, one of the most mythical and complicated of the season. We will see what it brings us...
¡Un abrazo a todos, nos leemos en la próxima!
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.

Saludos bro!
