(ESP-ENG) Espectáculo y nuevo líder en México.
Hello friends, good vibes to all.

The calendar had been offering us some pretty monotonous and linear races, and we weren't seeing much excitement until Mexico City and the Grand Prix at the beautiful Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. This track is very tiring for several reasons: first, because it can be tricky in several sections, where corners and S-shaped turns are a constant occurrence, and second, because of the infernal heat on the track, which exceeded 50 degrees yesterday. The latter causes tires to last less, so strategy is very important when choosing the starting tires. I say this because it was a factor in some drivers' results.
The winner of the award was Lando Norris, with a lead of more than 30 seconds over Leclerc, the second-place finisher. The McLaren driver's dominance throughout the weekend was overwhelming. From practice onwards, he looked far superior to the rest of the field and, above all, far behind his teammate, who, on the other hand, had a day to forget. I don't know what happened to create such a large gap between the cars, but Norris's performance was an outrage. It's the first time all year that we've seen such a considerable lead between the two, and it happens when the championship is so tight. So much so that Lando overtook Piastri by just 1 point to become the new championship leader.

Overall, it was a very entertaining race, and we saw that from the first corner, where after the starting straight there were many moves due to the intensity of the race and the narrow and difficult corners that these first corners can be. Amid all the chaos, the positions shifted slightly, and one of those who took advantage of this was the young Haas driver, Ollie Bearman, who had the race of his life, finishing P4, managing to hold off Piastri, who constantly stalked him during the final laps of the race. The truth is that his composure and good handling of the pressure were something he demonstrated throughout the nearly 71 laps of this Grand Prix.
We're not going to talk about Norris because he was barely visible during the transmission, nor about Leclerc, who was also quite comfortable from his P2 position until the final two laps, when Verstappen almost caught him and snatched the position. I say almost because it was a VSC that ultimately saved the Monegasque. But from P3 to P8, there was always a lot of movement, and that was what gave the championship a bit of flair and a bit of tension. Max's race was saved thanks to his skill, as he started on the wrong tires and had to push hard to climb to P3. As I said, Bearman finished fourth; Piastri fifth after overtaking both Mercedes and Antonelli; and Russell in P6 and P7 respectively.

I think the two Mercedes drivers were the most prominent in that midfield, and Russell, from the very beginning of the race, couldn't stop complaining about anything. This is one of the reasons why I don't like him as a driver. It's funny because on the broadcast, Fernando Tornello calls him "Mr. Complaints," and yes, he's partly right. In the end, nothing worked out, as they finished behind Bearman and Piastri. Hamilton continues to go unnoticed; he received a 10-second penalty for short-circuiting through the grass and not giving up his position. Lewis has had a terrible year, and that's a shame.
There are three Grand Prixs remaining (Brazil, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi), and given the standings, we can predict a lot of intensity. Verstappen and Lando are just 36 points apart, with Piastri just one point behind Norris. There's a Sprint Race in Brazil, so for the first time, we'll have to keep a close eye on what happens there; those points could make all the difference. We haven't seen such a close championship in a while, since 2021, I think. We'll have to enjoy what's left and wait two weeks until we meet again at Interlagos.

Well, that's all for today, everyone. I hope you enjoyed it.
¡Hugs to everyone, see you next time!

Quedan cuatro carreras, Brasil, Las Vegas, Catar y Abu Dhabi.
Saludos, bro!
