Walking with friends at a safe distance - Actifit Report Card: March 22 2020

Today I returned to the park where my dog Zoey gets to run around off the leash. But today I met two friends and we walked together. The park is at a convenient meeting place and we all visit it quite often.

Getting together with friends is really tough right now with the efforts in place to contain the coronavirus, and it’s likely that it will get worse. We are expecting a “shelter in place” mandate to come from our state’s governor, perhaps tomorrow. But walking with people, at least until we know what the new rules are, seems low risk!

I kept trying to get pictures that included all three dogs, but they were moving so fast, and by the time I got my gloves off and my phone out, whatever I was going to frame would have changed completely.

It was really funny because my friend’s golden retriever was absolutely determined to have all the toys. So he stole Zoey’s ball right away and later stole the stick she got to replace it, and he was carrying both around in his mouth.

Well that’s about it. The weekend went by too quickly! Time to “go back to work” tomorrow, although I’m working from home during the coronavirus outbreak, so I don’t actually have to go anywhere!
