Beauty and the Beastly Cold - Actifit: February 13 2021

I took a beautiful walk today with Zoey, but it is still beastly cold! It was -5 Fahrenheit (-20 Celsius) when we were out at the park, and it will get much worse for the next few days. Then the cold spell will break and it will be about 40 degrees warmer - a little above freezing, which is quite a pleasant temperature!

As you can see, in addition to my warm hat, warm coat and scarf, today I wore a balaclava to protect my face, which meant I had almost no skin exposed at all.

Zoey didn’t mind the cold much. When it’s this frigid, I put her in a sweater and booties, though.

But the light was fading by the time we had walked a bit. So I captured some pictures of the lowering sun moving into the trees.
