Sublime and Beautiful Sunday - A Clean garage - Actifit: September 26 2021
This is a slightly unusual Sublime Sunday / Beautiful Sunday post. It is about my garage cleaning project. I just have to share with guys how amazing my House Girls group is.
Each month we get together ant one of our houses to do a project, such as cleaning, organizing, gardening or painting. It’s always really exciting when it’s my turn because I have a big old house and it always needs work!
Today we cleaned out my garage. I’m starting with a picture of the finished project. (Because who wants a picture of a cluttered garage as the featured image on a post?)
And now here are a few of the mess!
Here we are in the middle of the process of sorting and cleaning.
We filled my van with items for the donation center. We also through a bunch of stuff in a bagster for pick up, and put a bunch of stuff out on a free items table.
It was incredibly gratifying to get all the junk out! It has stored up over years of home projects and raising kids.
Of course we took another picture at the end. I'm so lucky to have these amazing women in my life! They can clean, organize, garden and completely give a house a face lift. Amazing.

Seems like you did a lot of effort to declutter and get rid of all the junk. But I can feel the satisfaction once you return and see a neat and clean garage. Nice job!
Oops, I missed the comments on this post! It is incredibly satisfying to look around and see walls instead of clutter. Now we have a project to put up some really nice shelfing. When you're a homeowner, one project leads to another... and another....

Ha ha. I know, right? That hangs down from the rafters to indicate the stopping place for the car. When the windshield hits it, you stop.

Ah, interesting car stopper.
Yes, since with the car I park there, I can't see the very front of it. So it's easy to bump into things in front. Plus the car has to go in that far so the garage door will close. :-)

I'm so envious of how much space you guys have over there. I think that garage is bigger than my entire house haha. I also have a garage, but it's barely larger than my car itself.
The possibilities! What are you going to do with all that space?
It is kind of ridiculous, but we have two cars just for the two of us, and we have three grown kids who drive. Mainly we want to put up some cabinets for camping equipment, and hooks for bikes and tools, so everything doesn’t end up on the floor snd piled up in corners!
