Market Friday — Punkins! Actifit: October 15 2021
I did take a walk today, and grabbed some amazing pictures of colorful trees. But since this is Market Friday, I’m sharing pictures from the adorable pumpkin market.
They set up every year in a grocery store parking lot. You can buy fall gifts and jams and vegetables, in addition to the pumpkins. It’s always quite beautifully arranged!
First I’ll share some pumpkin picture, then a few of fall decor and their cute little shop inside a tent.
There are a LOT of pumpkins. They don’t put them away at night snd there is no way of locking people out. This has always fascinated me. Evidently it’s still possible to use the honor system. Somehow this gives me a bit of hope in humanity!
As you can see, the place is wide open.
Okay let’s go inside the cute little tent. I absolutely LOVE fall decor. But I already have plenty, so I was very good!
I did buy a jar of garlic stuffed olives and a very nice pumpkin!

That's a lot of pumpkins and I didn't know they come in different colors. Cool!
Yes there are also white pumpkins. Many of the colorful vegetables are gourds. They come in many shapes, colors and sizes. Thank you for stopping by, @leeart!

I thought you said a few pumpkins!!! :) That is so funny! There are so many pumpkins, I cannot even count them! Wow! That might be more than a couple! I love how they have accordion-style decorating their property!

#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.
