The trail to the lake - Actifit: October 26 2021
My husband and I took a walk just before dusk. These days we have to leave by 5 to get home before dark, and a week from now it will change by an hour because we are living in a state that still sets its clocks forward and back.
It was a nice time of day, with the late day sun glowing through what is left of the autumn leaves.
The next picture is kind of subtle, but I like it because through the trees you can see a pond.
I haven’t been out to the lake for a few weeks. What a transformation. Most of the boats have been pulled from the water. The boat owners must all winterize and store their boats in preparation for the intense cold that is to come!
I’m sure the next time I go, even these will be gone. And within a month the lake will begin to freeze.
I always like to take pictures of the docks too. There is something serene about them.
