Winter Luminary Festival - Actifit: February 5 2022
Tonight I went with friends to a festival on a lake. There were luminaries lining the entire lake and some attractions at various points around the lake as well. It was a beautiful night, with the temperature not far below freezing, so we were comfortable walking around.
Most of the luminaries are made of ice, with candles inside — especially the ones where there is foot traffic.
Other luminaries lining the bridges are in paper bags.
We visited each of the attractions around the lake, all made with luminaries!
Also all the way around the lake there is a cross-country ski trail. There were a lot of people on skis!
There was also an entertainment ring made of luminaries and there were fire dancers performing in the ring.
A lovely night to be out with friends enjoying the fresh winter air!

Fire and ice. How can the candle stay lighting inside a cold ice. I am stunned.
I guess fire cares about water, but not about cold! One year we were at the festival and it was much colder — about 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-15 Celsius), and the candles burned brightly all evening long. Thanks for visiting!
This appears to be a fun for all family evening outing, love the lighting and full use of winter conditions where everyone enjoys winter together.
