Sublime and Beautiful Sunday - Actifit: March 6 2022
Today was amazing after a day of rain, slushy precipitation and ice as I reported yesterday. Last night the temperature dropped and soft, fluffy snow began falling. By the time I woke this morning, there was 5 inches of fresh snow.
In the afternoon I went walking out on the trail. It was stunning, with snow clumped on every tree branch, and a bit of afternoon sun breaking through the clouds and illuminating droplets melting from the branches. It was just a bit above freezing and the air was very fresh.
Every few minutes the sky seemed to change completely. I was so mesmerized! I think I must have taken at least 30 pictures. I’m sure you don’t want to see them all!
I also took a lot of pictures of the trees and shrubs laden with fresh snow.
When I neared the lake, the sun emerged at last.
As you can see, there are still a few trucks and ice fishing huts out on the ice. The days are getting warmer, so they all must be off soon.
I always think the resting benches look so pretty in the fresh snow. One of these is inscribed in memory of a friend’s father.
