Wednesday Walk - creeks and trails - Actifit: April 13 2022
I took the loveliest late winter walk along the creek through the marsh at my favorite park.
I always love the marsh — even when the color has not yet returned after our long winter.
It’s such a peaceful place. I could hear a few blackbirds, and was happy to know they are coming back for the coming warm season.
I love the cattails and how they glow in the sun. These are last year’s, all gone to seed.
Here are a few more pictures of the creek.
And here are a few of the trail that circles the marsh.
This is a lookout area over the marsh where you can watch for wildlife.
And finally, a few dramatic skies. All of these pictures were taken the same afternoon.
Thank you for visiting! And a big shout-out to @tattoodjay, host of #wednesdaywalk, and @elizacheng, host of #makemesmile. Be sure to visit their blogs and check out the tags!

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Thanks so much for visiting, @tattoodjay. I do love the marshes and wetlands. It's always peaceful. And if you turn your back on it, nature takes over. If people were ever somehow removed from the earth, nature would definitely reclaim itself!
Ohh yes I totally agree left alone nature well recover and reclaim everything
I was in a place like this yesterday doing a photo shoot. I love the high dry grass. It was also golden hour so we got some amazing shots.
No wildlife seen over here though.
You did? How cool, @adetorrent! I would love to see some of them.
Great to hear from you, as always!
