Evening on a boat - Actifit: July 11 2022
Today we celebrated my husband’s birthday by taking a boat ride with friends. All my steps for the day were achieved by preparing food for the trip and hauling supplies onto the boat! Once on the boat, there was not much exercise to be had.
As you can see, it was breezy! The wind blew my hat back and we were joking that I looked like Paddington Bear.
Overall it was a beautiful night. But we had an adventure! There was a storm off on the horizon. It seemed so far away…..
It turned out we were pretty much riding straight toward it. I took this panorama shot to try to capture the drama in the skies.
The storm was moving our way. So we turned around and went back to the safety of the bay.
We even slipped into the protection of someone’s covered boat dock for a few minutes while the storm passed over and it rained for a bit. Then we we went back out and the weather was perfectly fine after that.
Some people even jumped in for a swim!
We headed back in as the sun was setting. What a beautiful night!

Oh, before I go, here’s the food I brought to share — a veggie tray and a tray of rolled sandwiches. Everyone loved them.
