The trail to the lake — Actifit: July 13 2022

We took our favorite walk to the lake, which is along a tree-lined trail, and is about a mile and a half each way from our starting point.

There are a few houses right along the trail. I tried to capture the flag illuminated by sun.

It was a perfectly comfortable evening. I nearly needed a sweatshirt!

Eventually we got to the lake. It was very busy.

We thought maybe there was a regatta out on the main part of the lake, which you can’t see from the marina.

The sun was setting and it was quite pretty. It’s probably my favorite time of day, when the stress of the day is done and there is golden light all around.

such a beautiful walk, I do love the setting sun, it kind of helps to calm one after a busy day

that said I mostly only see it out the window of the house at this time of year, I get my walks in in the early hours of the day

I wonder if there was some even in the main part of the lake the area sure looked busy

Yes, you are much more of a sunrise person, @tattoodjay! I am always amazed at how early you are out taking pictures in the morning.

I have always preferred the sunset from an experiential standpoint, probably because I grew up on the west coast. It's funny to think about, but as far as I know it is impossible to know which one you're looking at in a picture unless you're told.

I do think your are right unless you are told or know the location it is almost impossible to tell whether it is a sunrise or sunset images

and yes indeed i have been an early riser for years, and as much as I try I just cannot break the habit and sleep in
