Fading summer - Actifit: September 6 2022

I have a bittersweet love of the end of summer. There is so much to say goodbye to. The vibrant colors of summer. The intense flowers. The ability to walk out the door without having to bundle up to stay warm.

But I also love the transition of the seasons. And I love Fall. So the coming weeks will be lovely as summer gives way to autumn.

I thought about all this on my walk this afternoon. I had just returned from a few days out of town with my family. And I saw how dramatic even the early stages of the transition is from summer to autumn.

The greens turn yellow and there is a warmth to the landscape, as if it has absorbed the sun.

Naturally, I’ll be back with more colorful photos as the new season unfold!
