Water and boats - Actifit: September 13 2022
I am blessed to have many lakes near me. Some have trails that pass by lovely lake views. Others have trails running the perimeter of the lake.
These pictures are from one of my favorite destination — a small bay on an enormous lake, where I can gaze at all the boats and daydream about sailing.
I always love the reflections of the masts in the water.
I also like to marvel at the fact that boats come in all shapes and sizes — from small rowboats and kayaks to sailboats, fishing vessels and big yachts.
And of course, perhaps best of all are the reflections of skies, clouds and sunsets. I never tire of looking at the colors captured in the lake’s mirror-like surface.

There is something special about boats and water. I have lived on/near water most of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I love the mix of boats bobbing up and down in the water. :) Such a happy life.
The setting sun or sunrise on the water is a memorable experience.

Yes, being near water is important to me too, @dswigle. After living on one coast or another for over 25 years, it's kind of crazy that I moved to the Midwest! But we have so many lakes here that I'm never far from those delightful reflections. (Well... except in the winter when the lakes all freeze over and I walk on them instead!)

Do you stay in a fishing village😂😂?
No, but I suppose I could have! Lots of people love to go fishing on the lakes here. You might have noticed the kids fishing in the first picture, and the young man on the dock in the last one. It's a fun activity for teenagers in this area.
