Home project day - Actifit: October 2 2022

I have approximately 5,000 home projects to tackle, so if you have visited my blog before and this seems like a recurring theme, it’s because it is!

We bought a very old house 18 years ago that had been tended to for many years by people with strange ideas, low DIY skills, and a “just get it done” attitude. Trust me that’s not a good combination.

Today’s project was painting the garage. I had been patching walls and prepping for my “House Girls” group to come over for a painting party for days, interspersed with multiple runs to the hardware store. So I was glad to finally jump in and get to the priming and painting!

Needless to say, do-it-yourself home projects are great for getting steps!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Ha ha. No I had a crew of friends helping me, actually! My house is way too much work for me to tackle the projects on my own. 😂

@silvertop is also in our garage, doing some painting, but mostly putting up garage door hardware to make a garage door functional. The door has been there for 20 years........the hardware, not so much! He's almost got it done!

Looks like your's is progressing nicely! Have fun with the paiting party! Take care and have a lovely week! !LADY

You're putting a lot of work and love into the old house, making it even more sentimental and precious.

Reminds me, I need to paint my ceiling. I have a bunch of marks from a water leak I had last year. Pain in the behind haha.

Oh my! Ceilings are the worst. You get a neck ache just figuring out what to do, let alone actually doing the work!

Yes, it is indeed a labor of love, @adetorrent. Supposedly we are preparing to one day sell this behemoth so we can move to somewhere more manageable. But naturally, with every project we complete I fall in love with the house a little more.
