Back on the trail: April 19 2025
Hubby and I are taking to the trails more regularly again, with the weather warming. Which is not to say it’s warm here in Minnesota, but there are definite signs of spring.
If you look carefully, you can see green buds coming up everywhere, and the grass is starting to turn green.
I took a picture of this shrub alongside the trail, as I could see that its spring foliage is finally emerging.
This weeping willow tree is also showing its colors.
It might seem strange that springtime comes so late here. But in our area, we cannot plant our gardens until May because they can be damaged by frost!
Thank you for stopping by!

Glad you and the hubby are able to get out for your walks now!👍😊
I can understand not being able to plant your gardens till May, in Colorado spring didn’t come till June 12 approximately ( My Birthday Lol)!😊
At the printing company, I worked for the owner actually used his snow plow, 4 x 4 to plow his garden plot a little bit extra early Lol!🙄
How funny, regarding using the snow plow to prepare garden plots! Whatever works in a given climate is the best choice, I guess.
Life can be challenging at higher elevations in the Colorado Rockies Lol😇
May is indeed quite late in the year to be planting...
Every country with it's perks huh😂
But the plants somehow know the growing season is short here so they grow really fast!
Fresh growth starting to appear, seasonal change lifts the spirits to be outdoors more, similar for us going into cooler time pleasant to be outdoors more often.
Happy Easter Sunday have a lovely walk if weather permits.
Nice to hear from you, @joanstewart. Happy Easter to you too.

With the spring foliage beginning to show, it must be a good time for a walk. It's nice to know the weather is being kinder to you.
Have more of these lovely days and walks!
Thank you, @marlyncabrera. And yes, the nicer weather is quite welcome!
