My afternoon as a landscaper: April 19 2025

These are my steps from Saturday, when I helped my sister with some gardening. It was a pretty nice day out. Our mission was to beautify the front of the house in preparation for real estate pictures.

It was some heavy duty work (which I actually enjoy!), as I had to move a lot of decorative rocks to border areas and distribute about 15 heavy bags of mulch. It turned out pretty well!

In the picture above, the mulch around the walking stones appears to be two-toned, but it’s just that the mulch comes out of the bags wet. So the darker mulch hadn’t dried yet.

In this picture you can see the types of rocks I had to move from one place to another. I was actually picking up a few at a time with my bare hands and throwing them into a garden border to cover bare areas.

I would have had a lot more steps if I remembered to keep my phone in my pocket the whole time. But I didn’t!

Well that was my Saturday adventure. Sometimes physical labor is so gratifying. And I can tell that I’ve gotten my strength back after my illness and hospital stay a month ago.
