A lovely spring evening for biking: June 4 2025
I managed to get a bike ride in before making dinner this evening. Of course I had to stop from time to time take pictures.
I rode through my favorite park, which is now lush and green from all the spring rains and bouts of sunshine.
The path was underwater a week ago, so I was glad it has dried and is now passable.
The recent storms brought down some trees. They can be quite violent here, and in fact there were some tornadoes in the area.
But overall we are heading into the nicest season in Minnesota.
This is a little pathway connecting a neighborhood to another park I passed through. The white stuff on the ground is cottonwood fluff — another phenomenon in this area. Sometimes it looks like snow.
I found a scavenger hunt! It’s coordinated by the park system, I believe. I’ll have to check it out.
That’s it for this blog. Thank you for stopping by!

Cotton fluffs and tornadoes.
That's seems like a story title 😂
Lovely pictures b✨❤️
I'm counting on you to write that story @seki1. 😁
I just might 😂😂
Stay safe, I did not know Minnesota had tornadoes!😳
Our whole family was born and raised in Cincinnati and we lived on a street called tornado alley!
I saw several homes leveled down to their basement foundation!
Luckily, the tornado skipped over our house!
Very scary!😮
Whoa, that's nuts @silvertop. Yes there's a whole north-south swath section of the country referred to as tornado alley, and we are just on the edge of it. Fortunately the tornadoes favor the open plains, so we are a bit less at risk in our urban/suburban area. Glad your family didn't lose your home to a twister!
Whenever the sky turned orange, you knew the potential was there!😳
Thankfully, the Pacific Northwest does not have that kind of weather!😇👍😊
