Wednesday Walk: June 18 2025
I love a day when I get two different forms of exercise! Today was a combo of pickleball and a walk with my husband.
Here are some pics from a walk in our favorite local park. It’s so green now! Just six or eight weeks ago is was a sad brown everywhere.
I wonder how many times I’ve photographed that particular picturesque stairway. It has a completely different look in different seasons. Perhaps you shall be rewarded for reading to the end by seeing a picture of the stairway in the early spring!
For now, let’s enjoy the green!
It’s such a feast for the eyes, isn’t it? We love to walk the trails at this park because not only is it gorgeous, but you can take a different route each time, if you like.
These next two pictures of my husband remind me of a silly old joke where you say someone is “outstanding in their field.” (An expression with two interpretations.)
Let’s see here. I think I have a few more images to share from our walk.
The creek…
A meandering path…
Ah yes, and here it is — a picture of the same stairway in the early spring before everything turned green!
Thank you for visiting! And a shout-out to @tattoodjay who hosts Wednesday Walk each week!

Interesting how the grass browns out in the winter time, probably from the bitter cold temperatures!
In Colorado everything browned out very similar to this. In the Pacific Northwest the grass is green year round even under deep snow pack😊
Wow, that really is interesting! When I lived in Portland, the snow never lasted long, and I do remember it being green in winter. Does the snow last long where you are, @silvertop?
It’s so hit or miss, we are in the foothills of the mountains!
Some winters we get very little snow, other winters you cannot even get out with four-wheel-drive with studded snow tires for a week!
Two years ago on Christmas Eve our whole entire street was stranded. A neighbor with chains and four-wheel-drive was able to drive me down and get gas for my generator my solar panels were all iced over!😳
This last winter, we barely burned any wood!😇
