British No 1 Evans knocked out of Sardegna Open

Dan Evans was handed a surprise defeat at the Sardegna Open has he was knocked out by teenager Lorenzo Musetti of Italy.

Evans who is ranked 26 in the world fell after three set to world No 90 Musetti in a thriller that ended 6-1 1-6 7-6 (10-8).

Musetti has really been impressive with 12 tour-level victories, with 7 of those coming against players in the top 35. He is also a win away from getting to his 3rd ATP Tour semi-final.

When asked about his secret, Musetti said;

"The secret for me is not to think about [their ranking], to just play them like other opponents,"
