Israel Adesanya handed six-month medical suspension after Jan Blachowicz Defeat
The Nigerian-born New Zealander boxer Israel Adesanya who lost for the first time in his professional career against Jan Blachowicz last Saturday at Las Vegas has just been hit with a 6 month suspension.
The suspension comes after tests was carried on the boxer and it was discovered that he sustained injuries in the bout against Jan Blachowicz.
31 year old Adesanya ran X-rays on his left foot and ankles to ascertain the level of damage and should be out of the ring till around September.
Adesanya’s coach, Eugene Bareman, had little to say about the UFC 259 loss to Blachowicz, the rematch and Adesanya bid to become two-weight champion.
His coach gave no excuses, he said, sometimes you lose, all you have to do, is be humble about it, accept the loss and take something out of the defeat.
Bareman also believes the defeat could be beneficial to Adesanya and will help him return much better and stronger
