Miami open: Ashleigh Barty faces Bianca Andreescu for first time in a bid to defend title

World No 1 Ashleigh Barty and defending champion of the Miami open face a tough clash as she faces Bianca Andreescu.

The coming final showdown will see both Grand Slam winners cross path for the first time in their career.

Barty booked passage into the final after dispatching Elina Svitolina 6-3 6-3 while Andreescu got to this stage after seeing off Maria Sakkari 7-6 (9-7) 3-6 7-6 (7-4).

Australian Barty who has been top seeded since September will still hold on to the spot no matter what happens on Saturday due to Naomi Osaka dropping off earlier in the tournament.

The final however is expected to be a mouth-
watering contest as the rest of the world is expecting to see who comes out top between the Australian and Canadian.
