Miami Open: Ashleigh Barty retains title after Bianca Andreescu injury

World No 1 Ashleigh Barty has reclaimed the Miami open title after an ankle injury forced her opponent Bianca Andreescu to retire from the match.

The Australian Barty was however able lead the meeting with 6-3 4-0 despite the circumstance of the match.

The first meeting between the pair didn't really play out expected due to the unfortunate incident to the Canadian Andreescu that made unable to complete the match.

After the game, Barty went on to express her feeling for Bianca injury crisis, she wished her a quick recovery and hope the recent injury doesn't hamper the rest of her season.

Barty also expressed her excitement in defending a title for the first time and hope this is beginning of better things to come in the season ahead.
