Roger Federer: Swiss legend confirms he will play Roland Garros in 2021

Swiss legend Roger Federer has confirmed he will be participating in this year French open has he currently working towards gaining full fitness.

The 39 year old last featured in a grand slam back in January 2020 due to wn injury suffered that kept him out and saw him undergo two knee surgeries.

Federer who made a brief return last month at the Qatar open after 14 months, will first be returning to clay court in Geneva before playing at the Roland Garros in May.

The 20 time Grand slam winner who last featured at the French open in 2019 and and missed consecutive ones prior from 2016 is set to make this year event come 30th May
