A few days ago I finally got to watch Ford v Ferrari and my heart is still racing, if you're thinking: "Oh, another movie about cars", I'll tell you something, this goes way beyond fast cars and brutal sounding engines... it's a story of pure passion, of never giving up and how to overcome anything that comes your way... the best thing is that it's based on real events that changed the history of racing!

The movie takes you straight to the 60s, when Ford, wanting to renew itself and say "here we are!" to Ferrari, which was the king of racing at the time, decides to do something almost impossible: build a car that can beat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a crazy race! To achieve this feat, they put together a team of geniuses, but unusual people, we meet Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), a former driver who now designs cars, and Ken Miles (Christian Bale), a driver who is a crack, passionate to death, although half crazy, why am I going to lie to you.. the most important thing in the film is the relationship between Shelby and Miles. From the beginning, these two clash a lot, I don't know if they like each other that much ... Shelby is calmer, he thinks everything well, while Miles is a total genius but super crazy, he lives for and by cars, but he has a shitty character that doesn't let him fit in anywhere ... but although at first they seem like water and oil, little by little a great friendship is built between them, based on respect and on the fact that they both want the same thing: to make the best racing car in history.

Hola a todos amigos, gran comunidad de Movies and TV Shows, espero que estén genial! Hace unos días por fin pude ver Ford v Ferrari y todavía estoy con el corazón a mil, si piensas: "Ah, otra peli de carritos", te digo algo, esto va mucho más allá de carros rápidos y motores que suenan brutal.. es una historia de pura pasión, de no rendirse jamás y de cómo superar cualquier cosa que se te cruce en el camino.. lo mejor, ¡basada en hechos reales que cambiaron la historia de las carreras!

La peli te lleva directo a los años 60, cuando Ford, queriendo renovarse y decirle "acá estamos!" a Ferrari, que era el rey de las carreras en ese momento, se decide a hacer algo casi imposible: construir un auto que le gane a Ferrari en las 24 Horas de Le Mans, ¡una carrera demencial! para lograr esa hazaña, juntan a un equipo de genios, pero gente fuera de lo común, conocemos a Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), un ex piloto que ahora diseña autos, y a Ken Miles (Christian Bale), un piloto que es un crack, un apasionado a morir, aunque medio loco, para qué te voy a mentir.. lo más importante de la película es la relación entre Shelby y Miles. Desde el principio, estos dos chocan bastante, no sé agradan mucho.. Shelby es más tranquilo, piensa todo bien, mientras que Miles es un genio total pero súper loco, vive por y para los autos, pero tiene un carácter de mierda que no lo deja encajar en ningún lado.. pero aunque al principio parezcan agua y aceite, de a poco se va armando una amistad genial entre ellos, basada en el respeto y en que los dos quieren lo mismo: hacer el mejor carro de carreras de la historia.

Here this movie was not only the adrenaline of the races, no, no, no! It was seeing the constant fight between those who want to create great things and the people in suits who only think about numbers... because Ford here is not just the interesting team that wants to win, it is a giant company, a corporate monster! Obviously, they have bosses who care more about the pretty photo of the brand than the passion for real racing, and that creates a brutal tension in the story... because while Shelby and Miles are breaking their backs to make history on the track, inside the company there are people who only want to maintain control and follow the same rules. If it has ever happened to you, that you feel that your talent or your ideas are dying because of bureaucracy or because of decisions made by those "up there" who don't understand anything about what you're doing, I swear that this part of the film will touch your heart..

But we also have to talk about what leaves you glued to your seat in Ford v Ferrari: the race scenes.. the way James Mangold (the director) films the speed, the danger and the excitement of the races is on another level, I loved it, the 24 Hours of Le Mans sequence is a work of art in action cinema, where every lap, every overtaking, every delay that occurs, you feel it in your body! The sound of the engines, the vibration of the asphalt, the reflection of the lights in the rain... everything is filmed with a realism that transports you straight to the driver's seat! More than once I found myself clenching my fists, as if I were there myself, living every curve, even though I don't know how to drive hahaha.

Speaking of characters, it's impossible not to mention the great Christian Bale... what a great performance! His transformation into Ken Miles is impressive: a stubborn, brilliant and passionate guy to the point of obsession with what he does, every gesture, every look and every word shows you the intensity of a guy who lives for and by speed. Matt Damon, on the other hand, gives us a calmer Carroll Shelby, but equally charismatic, a guy who knows how to play his cards in the business world without losing his essence... the chemistry between these two actors is perfect, really! Their relationship on screen feels super authentic, as if they were two lifelong friends who, even though they fight, admire each other a lot.

Aquí esta película no fue solo la adrenalina a mil de las carreras, ¡no, no, no! Fue ver la pelea constante entre los que quieren crear cosas geniales y la gente de traje que solo piensa en números.. porque Ford acá no es solo el equipo interesante que quiere ganar, ¡es una empresa gigante, un monstruo corporativo! obvio, tienen a los jefes que les importa más la foto bonita de la marca que la pasión por las carreras de verdad, y eso crea una tensión brutal en la historia.. porque mientras Shelby y Miles se están rompiendo el lomo para hacer historia en la pista, adentro de la empresa hay gente que solo quiere mantener el control y seguir las reglas de siempre. Si alguna vez te ha pasado, que sientes que tu talento o tus ideas se mueren por la burocracia o por decisiones de los "de arriba" que no entienden nada de lo que estás haciendo, te juro que esta parte de la película te va a llegar al corazón..

Pero también hay que hablar de lo que te deja pegado al asiento en Ford v Ferrari: las escenas de carrera.. la forma en que James Mangold (el director) filma la velocidad, el peligro y la emoción de las carreras es de otro nivel, me encantó, la secuencia de las 24 Horas de Le Mans es una obra de arte del cine de acción, donde cada vuelta, cada adelantamiento, cada retraso que ocurre, ¡lo sientes en el cuerpo! El sonido de los motores, la vibración del asfalto, el reflejo de las luces en la lluvia.. todo está filmado con un realismo que te transporta directo al asiento del piloto! Más de una vez me encontré apretando los puños, como si yo mismo estuviera ahí adentro, viviendo cada curva, aún cuando no sé manejar jajaja..

Hablando de personajes, imposible no mencionar al gran Christian Bale.. qué actuación tan genial! Su transformación en Ken Miles es impresionante: un tipo terco, brillante y apasionado hasta la obsesión por lo que hace, cada gesto, cada mirada y cada palabra te muestran la intensidad de un tipo que vive por y para la velocidad. Matt Damon, por otro lado, nos da un Carroll Shelby más tranquilo, pero igual de carismático, un tipo que sabe jugar sus cartas en el mundo de los negocios sin perder su esencia.. la química entre estos dos actores es perfecta, ¡de verdad! su relación en la pantalla se siente súper auténtica, como si fueran dos amigos de toda la vida que, aunque se peleen, se admiran un montón.

What really blew me away with Ford v Ferrari is that, even though it's about racing, it goes way beyond that... you don't have to be a car fanatic to love it, yes, obviously, there are engines, speed and irons, but deep down it tells you a story of people who don't give up, of friendship that can withstand anything and how to break all the limits... the one that nobody thinks will win, standing up to the giant and showing that with pure passion and talent you can break all the rules that the powerful want to impose on you…

Be careful, it's not perfect either, the movie has its moments where things go down a bit, especially around the middle, when the subject with the Ford bosses gets a bit repetitive... also, there's a character that at first seems like he's going to be super important and then, phew!, he disappears, as if nothing happened, and that leaves you a bit weird, although the ending touches your heart, there's a decision at the end that feels a bit sudden, like you didn't prepare yourself a little more for that moment… But, let's see, these little things don't take away from the greatness of the film... in the end, Ford v Ferrari achieves something that is super difficult: to move you, entertain you and tell you a story that touches your soul, all at the same time, it is a film that makes you vibrate with every acceleration, that makes you laugh at how crazy Ken Miles is, that makes you angry at the nonsense of office people and, above all, inspires you to keep fighting for what you like, no matter how many times they tell you that you can't!

Lo que de verdad me dejó loco con Ford v Ferrari es que, aunque es de carreras, va mucho más allá.. no tienes que ser fanático de los autos para que te encanté, sí, obvio, hay motores, velocidad y fierros, pero en el fondo te cuenta una historia de gente que no se rinde, de amistad a prueba de todo y de cómo romper todos los límites.. el que nadie piensa que va a ganar, plantándole cara al gigante y demostrando que con pura pasión y talento podés romper todas las reglas que te quieren imponer los poderosos..

Ojo, que tampoco es perfecta, la peli tiene sus momentos donde baja un poco la cosa, sobre todo como por la mitad, cuando el tema con los jefes de Ford se pone un poco repetitivo.. además, hay un personaje que al principio parece que va a ser súper importante y después, ¡puf!, desaparece, como si nada, y eso te deja medio raro, aunque el final te llega al corazón, hay una decisión al final que se siente un toque como muy de repente, como que faltó prepararte un poquito más para ese momento. Pero, a ver, estas cositas no le quitan lo genial a la película.. al final, Ford v Ferrari logra algo que es súper difícil: emocionarte, entretenerte y contarte una historia que te llega al alma, todo al mismo tiempo, es una película que te hace vibrar con cada acelerada, que te hace reír con lo loco que es Ken Miles, que te da rabia con las tonterías de la gente de oficina y que, sobre todo, te inspira a seguir luchando por lo que te gusta, ¡no importa cuántas veces te digan que no se puede!

If you haven't seen it yet, go see it! I highly recommend it, it's one of those movies that you have to experience on the biggest screen possible, with the sound of the engines that burst your eardrums and the emotion that grabs you from start to finish... my score: 9/10... yeah, let's see, it has its things, there are parts where it maybe drags on a bit and some problems that could have been resolved quicker, but the passion they put into it, the way it's filmed that's crazy, the performances that are from another planet and the pure emotion of the story make it a unique experience... Now I ask you, have you ever felt that you had everything against you, but you still kept fighting? Well, Ford v Ferrari is exactly that: the story of those who don't conform to what they are told, who break the rules and who, even if they fall a thousand times, continue looking for the impossible... and well, that's all for today, I hope you liked this review, I'll leave the trailer down here... see you later! Si todavía no la viste, anda a verla! Te la recomiendo a ojos cerrados, es de esas pelis que tienes que vivir en la pantalla más grande posible, con el sonido que te revienta los tímpanos de los motores y la emoción que te atrapa de principio a fin.. mi puntaje: un 9/10.. sí, a ver, tiene sus cositas, hay partes donde quizás se alarga un poquito y algunos problemas que se podrían haber resuelto más rápido, pero la pasión que le ponen, cómo está filmada que es una locura, las actuaciones que son de otro planeta y la emoción pura de la historia hacen que sea una experiencia única.. Ahora te pregunto, ¿alguna vez sentiste que tenías todo en contra, pero igual seguiste luchando? bueno, Ford v Ferrari es eso mismo: la historia de los que no se conforman con lo que les dicen, que rompen las reglas y que, aunque se caigan mil veces, siguen buscando lo imposible.. y bueno, eso es todo por hoy, espero que les hayas gustado esta reseña, les dejare el tráiler por aquí abajo.. nos vemos luego!
