Don’t Breathe - OTF Hell Week Throwback (Second of Two) - My Actifit Report Card: October 19 2021


The second of the Orangetheory Fitness Hell Week throwback had us 17 all out runs and some a busy long floor block.

60 Minutes and the themed template is called Don’t Breathe.

Although, it falls under the Power category; it feels a lot more like an Endurance template.

The floor block went like this:

Round 1: curls, triceps, TRX row 10 reps + exercise 1 (bicycles) 30 reps

Round 2: curls, triceps, TRX row 15 reps + exercise 1 + exercise 2 (bicycles + double crunches) 30 reps

Round 3: curls, triceps, TRX row 20 reps + exercise 1 + exercise 2 + exercise 3 (bicycles + double crunches + heel reaches) 30 reps

Round 4: curls, triceps, TRX row 25 reps + exercise 1 + exercise 2 + exercise 3 + exercise 4 (bicycles + double crunches + heel reaches + side plank dips ) 30 reps

Round 5: just exercises 1-4

The template had no rowing blocks outside of the warm-up. We did a 2G, for those who did the 3G; there was rowing blocks with med ball exercises in between.

Bigger groups have to do 3G’s unless the template screams for a 3G set-up.

On to the running portion of the session:

3 treadmill blocks.

AO = All-Out
WR = Walking Recovery

First block:

30 second AO then 30 second WR
this was about 7 rounds

Second block:

45 second AO then 45 second WR
this was about 6 rounds

Third block:
1 minute AO then 1m WR
this was about 4 rounds

We ended with a 90 second Run for Distance

My heart rate monitor results reflects the no rowing blocks, the stationary work on the floor and all the splats burn was on the treads with the all outs

Tomorrow, is Tiffany’s and my rest day. We’ll hit up two more OTF sessions Thursday and Friday. We will not go to OTF on Saturday, we will do a 3.1 Mile walk instead and have our bodies and minds ready for Sunday when the 2021 Orangetheory Fitness Hell Week sessions begin.

As always m, Tiffany and I are signed up for all 8 days, although you qualify for the shirt after a total of 5.
