Template: Inferno - 60 minutes

It’s basically a Run to Row, but you are striving to accumulate as many meters in 23 minutes.

I’m disappointed with my results, splats nice my personal record is 3601 meters and I only netted 3374 meters this morning.

The previous Inferno challenge was in September (about half a year after my COVID ordeal) and to fall so short today was frustrating.

It’s early on in the year and I have many more opportunities to crush goals, but I am hard on myself.

I believe my approach did me in, because my runs were not the speeds I expect from myself for 0.1 miles to reach.

I guess the hamstring injury is still weighing on my mind, which it shouldn’t at this point.

With all that said, I got in another workout and that’s what truly matters.

Floor Block 1 - 8 minutes

• ⁠5 x power push up (I clap doing these)
• ⁠10 x chest fly (I went with just 20 pounders, don’t want to mess up the shoulders; also was keep fresh for the run/row)
• ⁠15 x overhead tricep extension (Went with a 40 pounder)
• ⁠20 total x static crunch with over / unders

Floor Block 2 - 8 minutes

• ⁠10 total x alternating plank low row (40 pounders was good enough, although I usually do them with 50’s)
• ⁠10 x TRX low row (explosive tempo)
• ⁠10 x hammer curl (20 pounders 🤪)
• ⁠10 total x kneeling plank bird dog

Floor Block 3 - 4 minutes
Flat on the floor 🥵

• ⁠5 / 10 / 15 x hip raise
• ⁠10 total x static crunch with scissors
• ⁠Repeat until time, adding 5 reps to the hip raises each round - I got up to about 25 reps, but on struggle bus mode 🤣

Tread/Row Block - 23 minutes
INFERNO BEGINS:

• ⁠Reset our row monitors
• ⁠100 meter row
• ⁠0.1 mile run

• ⁠Repeat until time, adding 100m to your row distance each round

I got up to the 700 meters to 800 meters range where I totaled the 3374 👎🏽

• ⁠Record our row distance and add it to the OTF Tracker

My Orangetheory Fitness Heart Rate Monitor results was also underwhelming, which actually matches my disappointing total meter challenge:
