A Run A Cause - My Actifit Report Card: April 9 2022
Tiffany and I, have run a bunch of events the last five years and as we continue to add to our medal of collections, more than often; there are causes that are the reason these races have been put together.
Truth be told, Tiffany and I do the events; for the experience, the medals and the causes makes the investment to participate a nice bonus.
With that said, any cause we participate; where breast cancer is at the center of attention, then I am more apt to be emotional, because my late Mother succumbed to it.
Today’s run is another event, that Tiffany and I take to heart; because the Central Florida Navy League is an amazing organization:
“The Navy League of the United States Central Florida Council is unique among military-oriented associations. It is a civilian organization dedicated to the education of our children and adult citizens, including our elected officials. The Navy League also supports Central Florida men and women of the sea services and their families.”

We chose the 5K leg of the run for today’s event. This is our 5th CNFL run and four out of five 3.1 Mile run an one 10K early on.
The day in photos:
A beautiful, crisp and picturesque beginning to the morning.
Young color guard who did a fantastic job during the pre-run ceremony.
I wasn’t extremely happy with my finish time, especially since I was trending under thirty minutes the last few runs and still over a five minute gap from my personal best of UNDER 27 minutes.
But placed very well across the board and it’s tough not being proud of that.
Tiffany’s and I now got to add two more medals to our collection:
We’ll rest tomorrow and will be back crushing another HIIT workout on Monday.
