Crushed it For Coach #200, But We Had a Collision - My Actifit Report Card: May 29 2022

ESP Template - 60 Minutes

Tiffany and I burned splats for our 200th Orangetheory Fitness Coach as a couple and it was during a road trip that was a wonderful one. It didn’t end as we had hoped, but OTF burning must go on.

Coach Elise was awesome, had great energy and the studio was in Downtown Sarasota and we were able to have a very delicious Vegan lunch:

On to the template:

I started with 40 pound dumbbells and went up to 35 pounders

Floor Block 1 - 4 minute circuit

• ⁠10 low bench step down to reverse lunges - each side
• ⁠10 split stance single arm high rows - each side
• ⁠10 total low bench toe taps
• ⁠10 single arm bicycle presses - each side
• ⁠Repeated until time, we had to remember the last exercise we were on

Row Block 1

• ⁠2.5 minute row for distance
• ⁠Remember distance (I rowed 698 meters)

Floor Block 2 - 4 minute circuit

• ⁠10 low bench step down to reverse lunges - each side
• ⁠10 split stance single arm high rows - each side
• ⁠10 total low bench toe taps
• ⁠10 single arm bicycle presses - each side (re-started from these)
• ⁠Repeated until time, we had to remember the last exercise we were on

Row Block 2

• ⁠2.5 min row for distance
• ⁠Try to beat our distance from block 1 (I did beat the previous mark with a 725 meter row)

Floor Block 3 - 4.5 minute circuit

• ⁠Start at last exercise (I started from the top)
• ⁠10 low bench step down to reverse lunges - each side
• ⁠10 split stance single arm high rows - each side
• ⁠10 total low bench toe taps
• ⁠10 single arm bicycle presses - each side

FINISHER: 30 seconds of lateral hop overs with floor tap (as many reps as possible)

On to the treadmills:

Inclines % were a big part of the tread blocks

I averaged 7 miles per hour and my last all out was at 10 miles per hour.

I ran 6mph, 7.5 and 8 in certain parts but with the amount of inclines; I wanted to remain consistent.

Tread Block 1

• ⁠1 minute push
• ⁠1 minute base @ 4%
• ⁠1 minute base
• ⁠1 minute push @ 5%

Tread Block 2

• ⁠30 second base @ 4%
• ⁠30 second base @ 5%
• ⁠30 second base @ 6%
• ⁠30 second base @ 7%
• ⁠30 second base @ 8%

Tread Block 3

• ⁠1 minute push
• ⁠1 minute base @ 4%
• ⁠1 minute base
• ⁠1 minute push @ 5%

Tread Block 4

• ⁠30 second base @ 4%
• ⁠30 second base @ 5%
• ⁠30 second base @ 6%
• ⁠30 second base @ 7%
• ⁠30 second base @ 8%

Tread Block 5

• ⁠1 minute push
• ⁠1 minute base @ 4%
• ⁠1 minute base
• ⁠1 minute push @ 5%
• ⁠30 second ALL OUT

We were scheduled to go workout at OTF Sanford West and burn splats for Coach Frank the Tank, but on our way home from our road trip; this happened:

We were a bit shook up and the kid that hit us, Tiffany and me walked away with minimal physical damage. We will go to urgent care in the morning to make sure.

Luckily, Tiffa’s boys were with their Dad; as they would have probably gotten pretty banged up if not worse.

I’m not the best driver, but I’m a very good defensive driver and was blessed with pretty fast instincts and reflexes.

We were on Interstate 4, so this happened while moving as he rear ended us and as we were doing a 360; I saw incoming traffic on Tiffany’s side. I could not let nothing happen to her as she has her young boys to raise, so I was able to drive across to the other side and miraculously get the car in upright and straight:

HOLY SMASHBALLS! I am so glad you both are okay and that the boys weren't with you! Dangit @jimmy.adames! I know that's not how anyone's road trip should end, I'm just glad you were able to use your driving skills to keep that crash from spiraling into something worse!

And yes, I am so glad to hear you are going to urgent care! I was rear ended by a lady on I-10 once and thought I was not damaged...until later. Your and Tiff's spines had to take a beating getting hit like that!
