Back At It: Two Thousand Meter Benchmark Row - My Actifit Report Card: September 2 2022

Template: including 2000 Meter Row Benchmark - 60 minutes

E = Endurance
S = Strength
P = Power

Today’s workout was the third for Tiffany and me, since coming back.

Three months off is no joke.

When you put it an exorbitant amount of time into something and then all of a sudden stop for a length of time it is like slow motion.

High Intensity Interval Training sessions are not slow motion lol.

Anyway, we were booked today to workout at OTF Nona South after working out at North Monday and Wednesday.

Today, was a benchmark focused class and it was one of the toughest and it’s the 2000 meter row.

My all time recorded personal record is 7 minutes and 17 seconds.

I haven’t hit that in a couple of years but hadn’t strayed from it either until today, of course. Let’s just say, I declined to add it to the challenge tracker. I did it in a very sad (for me) 8 minutes and 20 seconds.

Coach was proud of us considering our injuries and Tiffa and I both completed it under ten minutes respectively:

On to the workout template of the day:

Row Block 1 - 3 minutes

• ⁠Base row / warmup

Row Block 2 - 10 minutes

• ⁠Reset monitor
• ⁠2000 meter row
• ⁠Check, record time (I did not add it to the challenge tracker)

Go to the treads and
⁠• ⁠30 second run
⁠• ⁠30 second walking recovery

This was while we waited for everyone to finish.

I kept it moderate at either a 20 pound dumbbell or a 40 pounder.

Floor Block 1 - 13 minutes

• ⁠Buy-in: Run 0.3 mile push run (I ran it at 6 miles per hour) then head to the floor:

• ⁠Repeat until time circuit:
⁠• ⁠10 sumo dead lifts (40 pounder)
⁠• ⁠10 TRX high rows
⁠• ⁠10 total high planks to low planks
⁠• ⁠10 total alternating super heroes

Floor Block 2 - 7 minute circuit

• ⁠10 half kneeling wood chopper (each side - I went with a 20 pounder)
• ⁠10 TRX chest presses
• ⁠10 low side plank pendulum with kick stands (each side)
• ⁠Repeat until finisher:

Finisher Member’s choice 1 min high plank or 1 min low plank (I went with the low plank)

Survived lol.

I went 6mph on base pace
7mph on push
proudly 8mph on the All Out

My OTBEAT HEART RATE MONITOR RESULTS:

Not bad after being sore from working out again to the soreness from the injury recovery.

I felt a bit more jazzed up and working out for the Ginger Ninja is always electric ⚡️

So we will rest tomorrow and then do our first back to back days on the back at it tour.

Sunday, Tiffany and I will be working out for our 201st Orangetheory Fitness Coach as a couple.

Monday will be what we believe is one of our favorite coaches who left Orangetheory and is now back coaching with them.

Sunday will be at OTF Clermont
Monday at OTF Colonial
