All Out Mayhem - Day 7 out of 7 - High Voltage - My Actifit Report Card: May 26 2023

Well, we've reached the end of the 2023 "ALL OUT MAYHEM" 7-Day Fitness Challenge and I was able to complete all 7 by doing today's template "HIGH VOLTAGE" this morning at the home studio OTF NONA NORTH along with my wife who I'm very proud of who was able to complete 6 out of 7.
The challenge was to complete 4 out of the 7, but I do all 7 days every year just like I do all 8 in the Hell Week series. The only series I don't do each day is teh 12 Days of Fitmas as I would be doing my body a disservice doing HIIT workouts 12 days straight not that 7 or 8 isn't taxing on the body in itself. I just the whole challenge, community vibe and pride of completing these type of challenges.
Orangetheory is a High Intensity Interval Training workout or HIIT and challenges like these are set up for members to put all the hard work to the test and see how much we have adapted to the HIIT sessions and "ALL OUT MAYHEM" does not disappoint.
The template names for 2023:
Day 1. Rush Hour (completed)
Day 2. Amped Up (completed)
Day 3. Flash Forward (completed)
Day 4. Hit the Switch (completed today)
Day 5. Jumpstart (completed)
Day 6. Power Surge (completed)
Day 7. High Voltage (completed today)
This morning was not only the seventh day of the challenge, but it was my tenth consecondutive day of working out as I hadn't taken a rest since last Tuesday. I didn't plan it out right, but there was that one mile distance benchmark challenge last Wednesday and never thought of taking another day off since the - but - I will be taking off tomorrow which will feel weird as my wife Tiffany and I go to an OTF every Saturday usually without fail.
Tiffa and I drove over to our home studio as we decided to do all 7 days of the challenge there to keep things consistent. We have OTF workouts scheduled this upcominuteg Sunday and Monday where we will go back to our driving out a bit further routine to workout at other OTF studios and we will be also adding two more coaches to our Catch A Coach list which is at 224 Orangetheory coaches we have worked out for as a couple so far.
After yesterday's phenomenal results with my chart and all other metrics today I was basically on fumes, so outside of hitting an 11.1 mile per hour ALL OUT run at the end, running a total of 1.75 miles with no walking recoveries in the template and rowing a total shy of 3000 meters and hitting over 300 watts of power, I still got a good workout in to complete the 7-Day fitness challenge.
Today's Workout Template: Day 7 of 7th day of the Orangetheory "ALL OUT MAYHEM" seven-day fitness challenge. Today's workout is called "HIGH VOLTAGE"
Not to mess with the vibe, I stuck to 20 pound dumbbells for the (weighted) exercises again and like all of the other sessions in the series of 7 workouts none of them required heavy weight reps as everything for this challenge was set up to be fast and furious.
Today's session was set up to be in a 3G format which simply means that we will spend less time at every station but it will be as if there were three groups rotating from station to station every 15 minuteues or so. There were just two groups this morning, but the set up stays in tact as there is no need to actually have three groups to accomplish completing the workout. That is what the Coach is there for to keep us moving in unison and on time.
The Work:
Row Block - 14.5 minuteutes
• Round 1 - repeat until you reach 400 meters:
• 30 second push row
• 3 (weighted) ground to presses
• Round 2 - repeat until you reach 800 meters:
• 1 minute push row
• 6 (weighted) ground to presses
• Round 3 - repeat until you reach 1600 meters:
• 2 minute push row
• 12 (weighted) ground to presses
• Bonus: row for distance until time called
FINISHER: 1 minute ALL OUT row
Floor Block 2 - 14.5 minuteutes
• 5 rounds back to back: Every round there is an increase in reps by either two or four.
• 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 burpees with high plank to low planks
• 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 total low plank alternating punches
• 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 hip raises
• 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 double twist crunches
• 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 total bridge hold marches, rest
• Bonus: low plank hip rocks until time called
• Finisher: 1 minute of burpees with high plank to low planks
Tread Block (there were inclines % throughout this block of runs)
• 30 second base to push
• 30 second base @ 8%
• 45 second base to push
• 45 second base @ 7%
• 1 minute base to push
• 1 minute base @ 6%
• 75 second base to push
• 75 second base @ 5%
• 90 second base to push
• 90 second base @ 4%
• 1.75 minute base to push
• 1.75 minute base @ 3%
• 1 minute ALL OUT
