Orange Everest - My Actifit Report Card: August 21 2023

After four days of full body workouts under the orange lights with the last two done on a road trip, Tiffany and I were back at our home studio this morning at OTF Nona North putting in the sweat equity with the 5am crew and Coach Mariah managing us through today's signature workout template.

I don't dislike much during my many years as an Orangetheory Fitness member. I begin my tenth year this cominuteg February. Admittedly, I am not a big fan of running on inclines but it's been a major help to my endurance through the years.

Well, today on a MONDAY! Was the brutal signature template "Orange Everest"

I went into it with no aspirations of getting matching or beating my personal record. I decided early on that I was going to maintain average speeds.

Well, to make a long story short I still hit 2 miles which was just a tad off my personal record of 2.10. But of course, there is a full body workout to go through. After all it's Orangetheory Fitness.

On the floor, I went with 25, 40 and 50 pound dumbbells for the (weighted) excercises.

Burned 562 calories which was way below the 700 plus I burned this past Saturday and Sunday but don't be fooled by that I put in WORK!

I rowed over 1200 meters hitting 353 WATTS OF POWER with as high of a rowing speed at 12.4 miles per hour.

On the brutal signature side on the treadmill, I ran as low of an average of 4.9mph but did run a 12 mile per hour ALL OUT to end the run.

The Work:

Floor block 1: 11 minutes

• ⁠1 minute strength row at 22-24 spm (strokes per minute)
• ⁠6-10 reps of Bench plank low rows (weighted)
• ⁠6-10 reps of ⁠Bench seated tricep extensions (weighted)
• 12 reps of alternating deadbugs

Floor block 2: 12 minutes

• ⁠1 minute strength rows at 22-24 spm
• 6-10 reps⁠ of bench seated concentration curls (weighted)
• 6-10 reps⁠ of bench seated hammer curls (weighted)
• 12 reps ⁠of ab bicycle crunches

Treadmill block: 23 minutes

• ⁠1 minute starting at a 2% incline then the fun begins (OUCH!)
• ⁠1 minute at 3%
• ⁠1 minute at 4%
• ⁠1 minute at 5%
• ⁠1 minute at 6%
• ⁠1 minute at 7%
• ⁠1 minute at 8%
• ⁠1 minute at 9%
• ⁠1 minute at 10%
• ⁠1 minute at 11%
• ⁠1 minute at 12%
• ⁠1 minute at 13%
• ⁠1 minute at 14%
• ⁠1 minute at 15%
• ⁠1 minute at 14%
• ⁠1 minute at 12%
• ⁠1 minute at 10%
• ⁠1 minute at 8%
