Template - AOM Day #6 - (De) Construct Your Reality
Time does fly and today, Tiffany and I completed the 6th Orangetheory Fitness All Out Mayhem 2022 series with the final one tomorrow and then is back to normal workouts.
Today, we burned splats for Coach Cory and it was a smaller group this morning, but the energy was still amped:
My heart rate was dropping quick and I was staring at third day in a row without reaching the 12 plus splats, but I went into overdrive to ensure it would happen!
On to the template:
Row Block 1
• Reset monitors
• 1 minute push row
• 15 second ALL OUT row
• Rack handle for 30 seconds
• 30 second ALL OUT row
• Rack handle for 30 seconds
• 45 second ALL OUT row
• Rack handle for 30 seconds
• 1 min ALL OUT row
On to the floor:
Floor Block 1 - 5 minutes circuit construct
I went with 25 pound dumbbells for the 10 reps
I went with 30 pound dumbbells for the 8 reps
I went with 35 pound dumbbells for the 6 reps
• 10 / 8 / 6 squats
• 10 / 8 / 6 alternating neutral shoulder presses
• 10 / 8 / 6 neutral full thrusters
• Complete 3 rounds
Floor Block 2 - 5 minutes circuit deconstruct
I went with 25 pound dumbbells for the weighted exercise
• 10 / 8 / 6 straight leg raise to crunches (weighted)
• 10 / 8 / 6 weighted crunches (weighted)
• 10 / 8 / 6 straight leg raises
• Complete 3 rounds
Back to the rowers:
Row Block 2
• Reset Monitors
• 1 min push row
• 1 minute ALL OUT row
• Rack handle for 30 seconds
• 45 second ALL OUT row
• Rack handle for 30 seconds
• 30 second ALL OUT row
• Rack handle for 30 seconds
• 15 second ALL OUT row
On to the treadmills:
Truth be told, I did not feel in sync with my body. There was an uncomfortable feeling. My heart rate monitor was not functioning and realize the strap was loose and it came off mid-run. Tiffany helped me put it back on and my legs felt like I was running in quick-sand.
Here’s the weird part, I felt strong throughout the whole session and I had power in my running; so I stuck it out and damn near reached a 5K. Then I was pissed, because I squandered the opportunity to do so lol.
I averaged 7.5 miles per hour until I realized that 8mph was necessary for me to get my 12 splats. Before COVID, I was running these at 9 miles per hour consistently 😔
Anyway, the 8mph definitely helped a lot and I ran the last ALL OUT at 12 miles per hour!!
In between, I struggled trying to find a comfort zone between 6.5mph and 7.5mph and then settled on 7.5 until I knew that I would have to go faster; despite my struggle.

My OTBEAT HEART RATE MONITOR RESULTS was beyond satisfying as the chart was not a perfect pyramid, but the metrics were on point and I ran 2.9 miles, rowed almost 3000 meters, burned over 700 calories and blew past 12 splats with 17:

Day Seven and final Mayhem 2022 session will be tomorrow morning at the home studio, OTF Nona North at the 5am time slot and Head Coach Mariah will surely bring here energy.
The template is called ALL OUT DARKNESS - whatever the OTF template designers have in store for us, sounds brutal. In a good way!

For the first time every, my @actifit app did not work. An error message came up that it could post to the HIVE blockchain. I rebooted my phone, but it still did not work. I have been posting my All Out Mayhem series post and did not want to lose the consistency, so posted it straight up. Of course, I probably lose out on the 17,000 plus Actifit points, but I really didn't want to omit the next to last day of the Mayhem series.

yessir, I'm surprised my usual aches and pains are not flaring up too bad. Don't feel like a world beater, but it's been a good 6 workouts and looking forward to the seventh.
